3rd POV

"Impossible, only a holy knight could pull that sword out of the ground, so how did he do that?" One of the knights questioned, suddenly, both of the holy knights feel rumbling coming from under them, they look at each other, confused as to what is going on until water pushed them out of the way as water gushed out of the previously blocked well, the water causing a small rainbow in the sun, the villagers cheered seeing the water now returned to their village, Meliodas walked over to the two holy knights who are trying to push themselves of the ground,

"I think this belongs to your boss." Meliodas spoke with a grin, one that was just a facade, he felt nowhere near happy right now,

"Hey mister are you really-" Mead spoke, getting cut off by the still smiling man,

"Yep! I am the proprietor of a fine drinking establishment! It's true." he spoke in his usual cheery voice,

"That's not what I meant..." Mead grumbled,

"Yeah well, isn't there something you need to be doing?" He spoke, causing the boy to let out a confused hum, he turned around to see the guilty faces of all the villagers in front of him, the chieftain at the forefront,

"Look Mead, we were wrong, we should have never treated you like that, could you ever forgive us?" The old man spoke,

"But what right do I have to forgive you? It's not like I'm part of the village or anything..." Mead trailed off, Meliodas gently pushed Mead forward, making him look back at the person in question,

"Go on," Meliodas stated simply,

"Hey! What do you mean go on? After all I don't really belong here..." The boy trailed off again, the villagers started to chant the boy's name, causing him to cringe away, tears forming in his eyes until he let out a sobbed and jumped into the Chieftain's arms,

"You can lie to yourself all you want, but you can never fool your own heart." Meliodas quietly announced, 'or can you?' Meliodas thought, making his smile drop with Elizabeth taking note of this, 'Does he not believe his own words? Or has someone else he knows who has been doing just that?' Elizabeth pondered in her mind.

"O-only moments ago sir, we received a report from our soldiers positioned in Barnia village, they say and unidentified young boy has pulled your sword out of the ground sir Rou." The knight reported, earning a grin from Gedeon and interest from Gilthunder. Gedeon stood up and walked towards the door with Gilthunder and a confused knight to follow him, the door guards opened the door and Gedeon started to walk up a set of stairs towards an opening in the fort, "I-it must have been a fluke that allowed the boy to-" Gedeon cut off the knight, slightly irritated,

"So a fluke let a random boy pull a sword out of the ground placed by a diamond ranked holy knight? And that isn't even talking about the fact that it was my sword that was put in the ground." Gedeon spoke darkly,
