TW: hate crime, homophobia
The next morning, you wake up to Merrill stroking your face softly, holding the covers over her bare chest. Her short brown hair was sprawled all over the place but she couldn't look more beautiful. Your eyes fluttered open and you smile at her. You lean in and connect your lips with hers, carefully pulling the covers away from her chest and pressing your bare bodies together as well. She rests her hand on your neck as she deepens the kiss. You then pull away, staring into her deep brown eyes.
"I think I have really bad morning breath." You whispered, making Merrill chuckle.
"No you don't baby. Kiss me again." You happily granted as she pulled away and once again stroked your rosy cheek.
"Now what?" You ask.
"Now, we hold each other a little longer. Because I don't want to get up yet," she whispered, holding you close with a sigh.
"Agreed," you quietly replied, nuzzling into her bare body. She grazes her fingers through your messy hair and a content smile formed on your face. Everything felt so right. Perfect and still.
Your eyes closed once again until you hear and feel a rumbling noise coming from your stomach. Merrill chuckled and throws the covers off you both.
"Hey!" you said.
"Come on. You're hungry. Let's get up and I'll make breakfast."
"Nooo," you whined, trying to reach for the warm blankets again but she just giggled as you finally sit up, your braids she had done for you the night before all tusseled and messy.
"Pleeeeaaase? I'll make you pancakes!" she giggled. You huff as she looked at you with that excited, convincing look, with her tongue between her teeth.
"Fine," you sigh. She smiled even more bright as she turns around, kneeling a bit. You jump on her back and she hikes you up as you squeal. As she starts walking to the hallway, you place soft kisses on her little astral tattoo on the nape of her neck.
"You love that tattoo don't you," she giggled, attempting to look back at you.
"Yes I do. I want it," you laughed, stroking a finger over it. She let you down off her back once you got to the stairs and walked hand in hand down them.
"You want the same tattoo huh?"
"Well... I don't think you'd want me having the exact same one," you replied, walking to the kitchen with her.
"Well..." she mocked with a smile, leaning on the counter as you sat down on a stool. "Mine was a reminder that the stars are always present... even when you can't see them. Like how I can't always see my tattoo since it's on the back of my neck. But they're always there to... wish on... and- and talk to I guess. Even when there are clouds. And... it's like... now you're my stars. So I would love for you to have the same one."
"You're my stars too Merrill," you replied with a grateful smile. She blushes a little and takes your arm in her hand, exposing your wrists. She brushes a finger over it and slowly circles it.
"Right here?"
"What?"
"I could give you the tattoo."
"What? How?"
"Stick and poke?"
"...I don't like needles."
"A normal tattoo would probably hurt more love. Come on. Let me do it. Please?" She asks with big puppy eyes.
"Okay," you replied with a nervous smile. She pulls your arm, making you lean forward and takes your soft lips into a kiss.
