She Saved Me (Merrill x Reader)

Birthday

a/n: I'm doing this chapter in y/n's actual perspective because it's kind of an important (and long) chapter. Also just wanted to make it clear that y/n is turning 17 and Julia only said she was 17 a few times because her birthday was so close I guess and in chapter two she told Merrill she was 16:)

y/n's pov:

After my mom drove me to school, I went to all my teachers and gave them my finished work. They were actually pretty surprised. They acted as if they gave the work to a brick wall.

In Mrs. Proffer's class, as everyone else was talking and working, I handed her the five worksheets I had done yesterday at her desk and she gave me a huge smile.

"Wow y/n. Thank you. I'm proud of you sweetheart." She replied, rubbing my arm then moving her hand to my cheek. My eyes darted down to her hand and she suddenly stared at my lips. "I miss you when you're not here you know."

"I don't even talk in class." I laugh nervously as her hand slowly moves down my cheek.

"I know but just having you here is enough." She whispers with hungry eyes.

"Oh." I say quietly.

"Happy birthday by the way darling." She says even quieter. I move my head away from her hand and give her a tight lipped smile with a "thank you", and sit down. My stomach was in knots at the looks she was now giving me.

By the end of class, I was the first one out of the classroom. "That was so fucking weird." I thought to myself. I went to lunch and sat by myself. I couldn't wait to get home. I was so tired of this school. Thank god it was vacation tomorrow.

After my last classes, the bell rang and walking down to the side of the parking lot, there she was waiting for me outside again. Just like yesterday, I shouted her name and ran to her. She looked up and opened her arms wide. I immediately jumped into her embrace and she lifted me up by my thighs. My arms were around her neck as she peppered me with kisses.

"Mm happy birthday baby." She squeals.

"Thanks Merrill." She grasps my face and starts kissing my lips and I quickly pulled away.
"Merrill not here." I said laughing with shock. "Anywhere but here. Come on." I pulled her hand to a trail in the woods as she laughed.

"Wow I've never seen this before." She said looking around at the trees.

"Yeah I usually walk this way from school."

As I turned around, Merrill had a mischievous grin on her face and pulled me into a kiss once again.

"I missed you so much last night my darling." Merrill whispered with her forehead touching mine.

"I missed you too." I replied, giving her another quick kiss on her lips and taking her hand in mine.

"You know I think your mom is warming up to me." Merrill smiles, looking down.

"What do you mean?"

"After I left, she thanked me..."

"She did?"

"Yeah and I told her how smart you were. I think she appreciated it." I looked over and gave Merrill a sweet smile as I started blushing.

We had been walking for a little bit when I had to stop and take a breath.

"You okay there kiddo?" She asks with a chuckle.

I nodded while bending over with my hands on my knees and she walks back to me turning around.

"Hop on." She laughs. I put my hands on her shoulders and jump on her back. Merrill was probably four inches taller than me and surprisingly really strong. Not that it would take much effort to lift me but still she was walking pretty fast for having someone on her back.
