Tw: mention of throwing up, alcoholism, smut

y/n's pov:

You and Clyde just hung out and played games with a few intermissions of you throwing up. It was now 3:00 and you turn your head as your mom opens the front door.

"Hey." She says, placing groceries on the table. You get up and go to your room, slamming the door.

Julia huffs as she places the last bag on the table and hangs her head down.

"God. She's gonna hate me forever."

"Maybe." Clyde responded, shuffling the cards you were previously playing with. Julia scoffs and tilts her head at Clyde.

"Excuse me? This is where you're supposed to give me some advice."

Clyde looks up from the cards with a shocked expression.

"Advice? What do you want me to say? You took her best friend away!"

"Well I'm sorry I don't want my seventeen year old daughter drinking!"

"Dad does."

"Clyde Tyler. You know the struggles of this family stay in this house."

"So now you finally admit it? That dads an alcoholic."

"He's not an alcoholic. He just...has a few too many drinks sometimes okay? That's different."

"She's really upset mom."

"Well what do you want me to do Clyde?! Merrill is five years older than her! She needs some friends her own age."

"Well this shit hole town is small. She already knows everyone. If she wants to hang out with Merrill then let her!"

"No. I won't."

Clyde throws his hands up and frowns.

"You wanted my advice! I gotta get to work. Bye mom."

"Goodbye Clyde." She Huffs.

"Bye y/n!" He shouts. You don't answer. He shoots a look back at Julia and leaves. Julia goes to your door and knocks.

"Honey what do you want for dinner?"

"I'm not hungry." You responded just loud enough for her to hear. She frowns and goes back to the kitchen.

After a few hours, you gather your thoughts to talk to your mom.

You come out of your room and she's making dinner. You sit down at the table and she turns around, surprised to see you.

"Hey." She says, turning back to the food on the stove.

"Hey." You responded quietly.

"How are you feeling?"

"Better. I'm just...upset." You say.

"I know. But my rules are my rules."

"Well sometimes your rules are bullshit." You whispered. Julia hits the spoon down in the pot she was stirring in and turns around.

"Excuse me?"

You look up at her with new found confidence and yell.

"I said your rules are bullshit."

"Bullshit?"

"You're keeping me from the only person who makes me happy so yeah I'd say so." You huffed. Julia scoffs.

"y/n. I'm not up to arguing with you about this. Again. So calm down or go to your room."

"No! I'm sick of you treating me like this! It's fucking stupid! You think you can control my life just because I did something you didn't like."
