When Love Lasts x Jemily

Chapter 20

Wedding day!!!

Emily's pov:
Today is the day. I am marrying JJ. I am marrying the love of my life. I'm so nervous but also excited.

I wake up next to JJ gently shaking her awake. "Good morning." I whisper kissing her forehead. She smiles sweetly. "Hi." She says sleepily.

"We are getting married today." I say with a smile. She grins. "We're getting married!" She squeals rolling on top of me and kissing me.

"Okay now get up we have to start getting ready." I say pulling her out of bed. We were heading to the hotel to get ready.

It was now 11 am. The venue was set up and the reception was at Rossi's backyard. I was at my hotel room with Tara getting ready. Someone was working on my hair and makeup and I couldn't stop fidgeting.

"Emily relax. Everything is going to be fine. It's your wedding day. Have some fun." Tara said with a laugh. "Easy for you to say when you're not getting your scalp ripped apart." I scoff wincing in pain as the lady pulls my hair tighter.

JJ's pov:
I'm in the hotel room with Elle and I'm completely panicking. My hair and makeup are already done I just need to put on the dress.

"What if she doesn't want to marry me? What if she realizes she's making a huge mistake and just leaves? What if-" my ranting to Elle is cut off.

"JJ stop it. Emily loves you. You know it, I know it, hell the whole world knows it. Stop freaking out. Emily would take a bullet for you. She wants to marry you." Elle says.

"Okay okay. I need to put my dress on." I say finally calming down a little bit.

Third person pov:
The venue at the beach is all set up. It's absolutely beautiful. Everyone is in there chairs waiting for the ceremony to begin. Then the music starts to play and everyone stands up.

Elle, tara, and Penelope are the bridesmaids. They walk down the isle first. Then comes JJ. Everyone stands up. She looks amazing. Hotch walks her down the isle as everyone stares in awe. She frisky is beautiful.

Next Rossi walks emily down the isle. She's wearing a simple but elegant white dress that has spaghetti strap sleeves and goes off the shoulder. It stops a little lower than the knee.

Rossi and Hotch step aside and everyone sits back down. It's really happening. JJ and Emily stand facing each other as the priest starts.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, and to cherish the words which shall unite Emily and Jennifer in marriage. Marriage is a promise between two people who love each other, trust each other, and who choose to spend the rest of their lives together. Now I believe you have both written your own vows?" He looks to Emily who starts.

Emily takes a deep breath and looks at JJ with love it her eyes, before starting. "Jennifer Jareau is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. My best friend, the love of my life, and a truly amazing human being. Every moment that I spend with you is a gift. I have never loved anyone the way that I love you. You make me laugh and smile and the fact that I love you so much sometimes drives me crazy. But I wouldn't trade it for the world. Because JJ I would die for you. I love you forever and I always will."

Everyone cheered and smiled. JJ had the biggest grin on her face. "Okay now it's your turn Jennifer." The priest said looking at her.

JJ started her vows. "Emily Prentiss taught me what love is. Before I met her I thought I knew, but I didn't. I thought love was just an emotion. Something that people say to each other. But it's not. Love is so many things. Love is hugs and kisses and waking up in the middle of the night and eating ice cream together. Love is when you have a nightmare and you wake up to someone holding you in their arms.  Love is caring about someone so much that you would walk across fire just to see them smile. Love is me and Emily."

Everyone clapped and Emily had the biggest smile from ear to ear. "Okay emily prentiss do you take Jennifer Jareau to be your lawfully wedded wife through sickness and through health till death do you part?"

"I do." Emily smiled.

"Jennifer Jareau, do you take Emily prentiss to be your lawfully wedded wife though sickness and health till death do you part?"

"I do." Said JJ excitedly.

"Okay then I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may now kiss the bride!"

Everyone cheered as Emily and JJ kissed. Emily wrapped her arms around JJ holding her close. They both had smiles a mile long spreading across their face.

Emily's pov:
We were at Rossi's mansion now for the reception. I was married to JJ. We were actually married. This was the best day of my life.

Morgan had more than a few drinks and was now on the dance floor. Everyone was having a great time. I was dancing with JJ twirling her around and around. I couldn't get the smile off my face. I think it's just on there permanently now.

JJ was having the time of her life laughing and talking and dancing with me. "Emily I couldn't ask for a better wife. You are the best and I love you." She said with a cheesy grin on her face.

"JJ I love you more than you will ever know. More than I thought was possible actually." I say with a slight laugh.

"I am the luckiest person if I get to have you as my wife." JJ said softly.

It was getting late and it was a bit dark. JJ had her head on my shoulder and my arms were wrapped around her swaying back and forth slowly. "We're married." She says looking up with a smile. "Yes JJ. We are married."
