Father's Proposal

I can't lie to my father and tell him the truth. 

"So you're dating that short girl?" 

"Dad she's not that short. Don't joke about her height." I calmly said. I was surprised when he laughed.

"But she is short. I mean I saw the pictures that Yuta sent me." he chuckles and I glared at Yuta as he held his hands up in defense. 

"Hey don't look at me like I'm just happy my sister has finally found someone who can make her happy again." he says and my dad immediately cleared his throat to stop my brother from getting too soft.

"Well he said what I wanted to say too. Do you really like that girl?"

I am more confident to say now that I don't like Chaeyoung. Instead, I love her more than anything. All the hardship that she took just so she can be with me is something that she should be proud of.

"Dad, I love her. She's determined, talented and most of all she has no fear to let people know that we're in a relationship." 

"Mina I'm telling you right now if she makes you happy then I'm happy but I haven't really met this Chaeyoung girl. I want to meet her in person so I would know if she's great for you. I say you should let her come her." he says.

I know my father isn't convinced yet with Chaeyoung but I'll let him see what I saw in her. I want him to realize how amazing Chaeyoung is.

"And last thing, I want her to sign up to Yuta's defense military quadrant for 2 months."

"What?" I never expected this. Dad is plotting something. I know he'll make Chaeyoung give up on me. What happened to 'if you're happy then I'm happy'?

"Why? Are you against my decision? if she truly loves you she'll come and prove herself." 

I was utterly shocked. My father is the type of person that breaks many men in the military not that they couldn't handle the military life but what they couldn't stand is the swell of my fathers training.

"Your phone has been flashing since earlier aren't you gonna answer that?" 

I took a hold of my phone and unlocked it. My notification bar was flooded by calls and messages from Chaeyoung. I forgot that I put my phone on silent before I boarded the plane.

"Answer it." Dad insisted.

"Hello?" I answered the call. There was music in the background coming from the call. I check my phone to see the caller's name. It was indeed Chaeyoung but she's not talking.

"Hello, Chaeyoung-ah?"

I heard a sniffle from the other end. 

"Mrs. Myouiiii! Why did you abandon me? don't you lo-*sobs* love me anymore?" 

An obviously drunk Son Chaeyoung finally answered the call. She was sobbing and sniffling during her sentences. 

I was too stunned to talk while my father hears everything that Chaeyoung says.

"I miss you so much I badly want to go there but you said no-"

Another voice came into the phone speaker. 

"Chae, who are you talking to right now? Come on, give me that phone, we're going home. Jeongyeon, this is your fault I'll get back to you when we get home!"

"Hello, Is this Mina? I'm very sorry I know you're tired from your flight but Chae right here is.." her sentence paused.

She's thinking of a word to portray Chaeyoung's state. "She's kinda stressed but don't worry she's just like this because she hasn't reached out to you all morning. I think she's worried sick."

Poor Chaeyoung, it's my fault I did gave her any messages since I left. I have forgotten. I'm really sorry about it. Chaeyoung is such a soft person, annoying sometimes but also caring. I miss her right now.

"Sorry I had forgotten to text her that I had already landed. Actually I'm at home now. Can you do me a favor?"

"Sure what is it?" she replied immediately. Certain noises were heard and she was calling my name when Nayeon took the call.

"Please take good care of Chaeyoung today and when she's sober enough tomorrow I'll call her." 

After that the call was hung up. Dad sat there, he listened until the end. He proposed that Chaeyoung should enlist in the military to show that she truly wants to be with me. 

"I'm sorry dad but I can't agree with what you want. What if she gets in danger while in the military? she doesn't need those to prove me anything nor to prove you anything." 

"Mina. All I want is that. Nothing more and even if you disagree last decision would be hers."

Chaeyoung woke up the next morning with a huge headache but all of that gone when she heard her phone rang and the caller she sees is the love of her life. She quickly took the call.

"Mina." 

"Chaeyoung-ah how are you?"

"Still missing you baby. I'm sorry for worrying you yesterday. Nayeon-eonnie told me what I did."

"You don't have to apologize. I am wrong because I forgot to check my phone.. and I miss you too. I guess I'm not used now to not seeing you annoying me."

I chuckled lightly. When she said she misses me too it made me feel things inside. Her voice is so soothing I wish I could talk to her more. 

"I want to hear more of your voice personally.." 

There was a minute of silence on the other line then she spoke again.

"Would you like to go here?" 

That sudden question was a bit sudden. I thought she doesn't want me to fly there because she's worried it will mess with my career. But nonetheless it's really what I want. To be with her at this very moment. Hug her, kiss her and tell her sweet things.

"I-I can come there??"

"Yes Chaeng, there is one person you're going to meet but I want you to get comfortable once you get here. Just be you. I love you." 

Be me? What does she mean by that? Also who am I gonna meet? My heart flutters when she says she loves me.

"I love you too more than anything in this world. I'll be there right away. I'll get ready now. I'll see you soon my love." We bid goodbyes, then I packed my things to fly to America.

I'll be there right away.

I called Somi to take my hiatus status. She told me she wanted to hit me for giving her such a hard task but deep inside I know she can't. I also wrote an apology letter on my official twitter account.

I'll take a break for now. I don't know when I will come back, with that being said I hope my fans will continue to support me until the end and respect my privacy. (1)

I want to apologize for the tours, concerts, fanmeets and stage performances that got canceled. I know a lot of you are expecting something this month but I just found what makes me truly happy. (2)
