Author's POV

A nice day isn't it? Oh right, you can't actually SEE the day, can you? But yeah, it was a nice day. The sun was completely hidden by the dark grey clouds that were currently ruling over the sky. Coldness filled the air with its presence. And the rain poured down like never before. The wind blew through the raindrops making a slight horrifying whistling sound. It was indeed a great day...for Namjoon.

The boy entered the cosy yet slightly busy cafe. He ordered himself a hot cup of Caramel Macchiato, his personal favourite. After a while, he brought it with him to a seat near the window. He sat down and put on his wireless earphones. He then took his phone and put it on the table. He made sure that the earphone was visible so he didn't look like a crazy person talking to himself.

"Bruh, do you really have to do this much shit to not be called a weirdo?" Jin asked. "Well, duh, do you think I want to look like a mental asylum run-away?" "I mean...it will be fun to see it happen" Jin giggled. "I swear to God, sometimes I want to bring you back to life and then kill you again." "As if you actually can!" Jin scoffed. "And why are we even here?" Jin asked again. "I need to get some ideas out," Namjoon said while bringing out his laptop.

"Because?" "Because I need to upload the next chapter of my book. It's been a while since I have written anyways." Namjoon gave out a cheeky smile. "Oh, that shit book?" "First of all, yeah that one. Second, it's not shit, it's got more than 100k reads and thousands of votes. And you have to admit it, you liked it as well." Namjoon said. "Not that much" "Yeah right!" Namjoon said with sarcasm.

"How many chapters are you going to write?" "Maybe 2 if I am really concentrated. Or just one." Namjoon cracked his knuckles and started writing at a supersonic speed" "You must have a lot of ideas since you are writing so quickly." Namjoon paused. "Well, I was thinking about it in the shower, bed, and while coming here. So yeah, I do have a few ideas."

A bit of time passed by and Namjoon finished writing a chapter. Namjoon stopped and looked at the time. "That finished quickly didn't it?" "What do you mean quickly, you took nearly an hour to write that damn thing!" "Exactly, it usually takes more time than that to finish writing it. I still need to edit the final draft. So I will probably upload it in the evening." Namjoon said before eating the chocolate cake that he ordered.

While he was eating he heard a familiar voice calling his name. "Kim Namjoon?" Namjoon stopped. He directly went into his panicked introvert mode. Oh, shoot! This was about to be a mess. Namjoon absolutely hated it when one of his old friends recognise him in public, it was embarrassing and probably the worst thing for him. That's why whenever he spots one of his classmates or friends in the market, he tries to either hide or just run out of there.

"Who's that?" Jin asked. "J-Junkook?" Namjoon spoke. "It really is you!" So this guy was Namjoon's ex-best friend from high school, the closest friend that Namjoon ever had before Jin. This is the same guy that betrayed Namjoon. That was the biggest betrayal Namjoon ever witnessed. Jungkook was the one who used Namjoon and then left him.

Namjoon also came to know that their friendship was supposed to just be a bet and a way for Jungkook to raise his grades. A bet about the fact, if Jungkook can become friends with almost anyone or not. And Namjoon wasn't the only victim, many other people from different schools were involved. Though, Jungkook thought to use this situation as a advantage by taking help of the smartest people he knew. You can say that Jungkook was a social freak and a exploiter. Btw, this happened when Namjoon was in highschool and used to study in Australia. It's also a reason why his english is so good.

Anyways, even after all the drama and stuff, nothing happened to Namjoon's reputation, it was just the same. He was still just a nobody. Though it did kind of hurt his pride and feelings. He never truly forgave Jungkook about it. But fortunately, Jungkook's family moved back to South Korea in the last year of high school due to some personal issues.

This whole situation just added to Namjoon's depression that was already there. Seeing someone that ruined his mental state, even more, was bringing back his memories. Jin obviously was told about this, though he never saw this Jungkook guy in reality, he could already tell that he was a total jerk. "Bro, I think we should make an excuse and get out of here," Jin said. Namjoon didn't hear what he said because he was so zoned out after seeing the other guy.

"What are you doing here, Hyung?" Jungkook asked. "Well I just moved to Korea a few years ago," Namjoon replied. "I meant about being in the cafe. "O-oh, well, I was just doing some homework." "You must have a lot of homework, don't you,?" Jungkook said. "Liar, liar, pants on fire!" Jin said to Namjoon. "Shut the fuck up,"

Namjoon said unconsciously to Jin. "Huh?" Jungkook had a surprised expression on that face of his. Namjoon finally came to the realisation of what he just said. "Oh sorry, I was on a call with someone." He said, showing his earphone. "H-hey, I will talk to you later." He shoved his earphones into the case and pretended to cut a call. "Oh, it's fine, Hyung!" "Please don't call me...Hyung. Just call me by my name." Namjoon said while rubbing the back of his neck. Jungkook gave out a nervous laugh. "s-sure." He said nervously while taking a seat.

"So...how's life?" Jungkook asked again. "Well, normal, I guess." "I see..." Namjoon wanted to really just get out of here, asap. He wasn't in the mood of having an emotional breakdown. "I told you, just make an excuse saying that you need to meet up with someone for your project," Jin said. Namjoon looked down at his watch and purposely widened his eyes. "Oh no! Sorry, I have to meet up with someone for my assignment. So I will see you later!" He quickly got up, grabbed his bag and started rushing out." "Wait, Namjoon!" Jungkook yelled but Namjoon just completely ignored him and went out there after grabbing the umbrella that was inside his bag.

Namjoon ran with his umbrella into the rain and got mixed into the crowd. He then rushed to a park that was nearby. He went inside it. It was basically empty since there was nobody due to the rain. Namjoon slowed down and started walking slowly. "I can't believe that he still had the audacity to call me, Hyung! Btw, you should also call me, Hyung, since I am older than you." "I will do what the hell want to! But, seriously, though, that guy even looks like a jerk." Jin said. "Exactly! He is a mannerless bitch. He didn't ask for permission to sit in front of me!"

They both continued to badmouth Jungkook until there was complete silence between them. Only the sounds of rain and wind could be heard. Though, one of them spoke. "You know, whenever you will too be overwhelmed, or just want to finally give up. Tell me, I will bring you to a place that you wouldn't have even imagined going to." "Why, is it something related to the ghosts?" Namjoon asked. "Well, you can say that. Though, you will have to give up everything to go there, just like death." "So you are saying that you will either kill me or possess me and bring me there." "Noo! That's not what I meant!" Jin whined

Namjoon just chuckled. "I know, I know. I was just kidding. But why, though? Why would you want me to be coming with you over there?" "Because I perhaps need help in getting something back, that belongs to me." "Yah! Why didn't you tell me earlier that you needed help?" "It's not something you can just decide and get. And for a human like you to be coming there, you will regret it." "But I somehow do need to give you something back for being with me." "I don't want anything in return for something that I am doing willingly. But when you are 100 percent sure that you want to go with me, do tell me.

Namjoon smiled. "I will"

I personally always like a nice walk in the rain after coming from a cafe. It's such a good place for thinking of ideas. Also I wanted to say that I will be taking a 1-2 week off. Cuz...this book takes a lot of effort to write and I have been writing for weeks so I think I deserve a break.

Anyways, thx for reading!
