Y/N stood in Stuttgart's art museum's grand hall, bored out of her mind, surrounded by boring, snobby, scientists and academics. Classical music filled the air as the four piece string quartet played in the corner of the room. Not that she was adverse to this genre of music but it just added to the already lackluster atmosphere.

Y/N was attending with her best friend, they were there to support her friends father as he made a speech about... something or other. She couldn't remember. He was a nuclear scientist and was here to try and gain financial support for his latest research.

Y/N was stood next to her friend in a black cocktail dress with white flowers in her hair, minimal makeup, except for a touch of red lipstick. She was surveying the room absentmindedly.

Y/N had met her friend a few years back at Cornell, where they both had studied for a biology major. She had invited Y/N to Germany to visit her for a few months as Y/N didn't have any family of her own.

Y/N loved to travel, when money and time allowed her and had agreed to go and visit her friend in her native city.

Y/N was stood crossed armed, huffing as her friend spoke to a random guy about something. He was obviously interested in her and Y/N started to feel like a third wheel. In Y/N's head all she could think about was how boring it all was, she just wanted to go back to her friends home, begging internally for someone to save her from this.

As her friends father stood up to the microphone, fortunately her friend noticed Y/N's increasing displeasure. She turned to her and said

"You can leave you know".

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, go"

Relief washed over Y/N and she gripped her friends arm as a reassuring gesture.

"I love you, thank you"

"Yeah, yeah... You owe me" her friend smiled at her.

As Y/N turned to leave she felt a presence causing her to turn back around as she heard a chilling scream fill the room.

"What the???"

She could see a slim, tall, dark haired man, eloquently dressed, grab her friends father and throw him effortlessly on to a flat stone table.

Further screams filled the room as people started clambering to get away from the unfolding scene before them.

The man produced some sort of device from his inside jacket pocket and held it aloft in the air. It was metal, with a sort of spinning disc in the middle from what Y/N could see. He then plunged it on to her friends father's eye.

A man's screaming and thrashing should have chilled her to the bone, caused her to turn and run, do something, but instead she was frozen to the spot, staring. Not from fear, not from terror, but the unknown sense of recognition of the ravened haired man drawing her to him.

Y/N's breath caught in her throat as the handsome stranger looked up with an almost psychotic smile as he surveyed the chaos around him. He seemed pleased, like he was enjoying every second of torturing the helpless man below him and the ensuing terror he was causing.
It wasn't what he was doing that took her breath away, it was him. Something so familiar yet not.

As the stranger was looking around the room, his eyes met hers. Butterflies immediately took flight in Y/N's stomach. He looked at her and his pupils dilated at the sight of her. He had to force himself to blink a few times. It was as if he couldn't believe who he was seeing. He had that same feeling of his stomach plunging, like he was in free fall. He hadn't felt that in a long, long time.

Y/N started stepping towards him, like there was an invisible string pulling her to him.

The strangers eye's were the most amazing, hypnotic blue colour Y/N had ever seen. They were almost like the colour of ice when you look through it towards a clear blue sky. They drew her to him, but as she came closer he blinked again and looked away, pulling the machine from the now, very obviously dead man on the table.

Stepping back from the table, he calmly started to make his way to exit the building. Y/N followed, unsure of what an earth she was doing, but she knew she had to follow him, to get closer to him.

As he walked his clothing changed from a black overcoat and tailored suit to black, green and gold, leather and metal armour with a flowing dark forest green cape. A large ornate golden horned helmet sat atop his head and the walking stick that he once held melted away into a golden stalf.

Y/N's eyes were drawn to the glowing blue stone just below the curved, razor sharp looking end of the weapon.

He walked with purpose and didn't look back at Y/N as he continued outside to a crowd of screaming, very frightened people that now filled the square.

Somehow as he walked towards the crowd, a bolt of blue light shot out from the weapon hitting a police car that was coming to the scene causing it to flip and crash on to its roof, skidding over the tarmac.

Y/N hung back slightly at the entrance to the building, but her eyes never left the back of him. A further three clones of him appeared stopping people from running away.

Stepping forward he spoke for the first time in a commanding voice,

"Kneel before me!"

The clones started to herd the people together and back towards the original, now obviously, not a human man.

Y/N wasn't scared as she looked on, in fact she began creeping slowly towards him again when she could have been running the other way.

As the crowd of people started to squeeze together he spoke again.

"I said..."

He slammed the stalf into the pavement below causing the blue stone to glow in all of the cloned weapons surrounding the frightened crowd.

"KNEEL!", he shouted in a booming voice that echoed around the air.

Instantly the entire crowd started to lower themselves down to the floor out of fear. However, Y/N still stood behind him at a safe distance as if in a trance just watching him. She couldn't tare her gaze away.

He started to walk slowly forward, stretching his arms out as the mass of people parted before him.

Now he had the full demeanor of a God. Was he a God? Y/N didn't know at this point, but in her daze she knew he was familiar to her as if from a faint dream that she was struggling to remember.

Who ever he was, she was undoubtedly drawn to him.
