Thor was on his knees in the gladiator cells, his hands clasped together and his head bowed as he prayed.
"I pray that wherever you are Y/N, you are safe"
"You said she fell..."
A sudden familiar voice spoke behind Thor, causing him to turn his head and look over his shoulder. There Loki stood, glaring at him.
"So where is she Thor?"
Thor shuffled around to sit on the floor and face his brother. He leaned back against the wall, still slightly exhausted from all the fighting and traveling.
"I do not know... I'm the one in prison. Why aren't you out there looking for her?" he snapped.
Loki balled his fists as he chewed on the inside of his lip, trying to not shout back at Thor.
"Do you not think that's what I'm doing?" he took a few steps towards Thor.
"Why are you sulking?"
Thor looked blankly at him as he twiddled his thumbs, his hands resting on his stomach.
"Upset because daddy lied to you?" Loki taunted.
Loki was pushing to get a reaction from him. His favourite pass time was always to taunt his brother, especially when he was stressed and this was a particularly stressful day.
"Hurts doesn't it, being lied to"
Thor took a deep breath,
"Today I have lost my father, my hammer and my niece. You are the one that made Odin weak," Thor started to raise his voice.
Loki gritted his teeth as he stepped closer. It wasn't as though he knew the consequences of confusing Odin enough to get him to Midgard he thought.
Thor scoffed,
"Your actions have doomed us all... Maybe that's why I'm sulking. This is your doing Loki and now I need to fight whoever this champion is so we can get off this God forsaken planet to stop Hela from bringing Ragnarok. And you need to find Y/N!"
"Have you quite finished your little rant?" Loki grew increasingly irritated with Thor.
"I told you that's what I am doing. But let me remind you... Hela broke Mjölnir like it was a piece of glass. I've also heard this champion is formidable... Don't let me down"
........................
Y/N was sat in a chair opposite the leather clad woman warrior, the one who had found her.
"You knew my mother?" Y/N asked her.
Val nodded her head,
"She was my friend"
Val looked away and then back at Y/N.
"I failed her once, I won't fail her again"
"What do you mean again?"
Y/N looked at her concerned. Val had taken good care of her since she arrived on this strange planet. She had fed her, clothed her and protected her from being discovered. This was their first real conversation into why she was doing all of this for someone she had only just met.
"Your mother had the gift of foresight... She knew what was coming" Val swallowed back her emotions before she continued speaking.
