Jade was considered as one of the Demon Lord's best generals her father was in fact one of the four generals under The Demon Lord. Her older brother was an extremely skilled tracker and hunter however he like everyone else was attracted to Jade and often made advances on her. Jade once beat her older brother within an inch of his life for his repeated advances on her. So naturally Jade had a large amount of influence amongst the Demons and was able to get rid of loose ends such as the Elf girl and not leave any evidence behind* John says "To test myself and see how far I've improved" John was well aware of the fact that Max and the rest of the kids have also improved while he was in hiding.
