Max and the others were known to have killed the six Dragons that defeated John. They also attacked the Werewolves as well as the Vampires signaling the start of the war between the Demon Lord and the Hero. John clashed against the Dragons he took down six Dragons by himself. This was when Jade took him and fled saving his life. Two weeks later st the hideout of John. John leads an army of Demons to the hideout. *Jade was called back to the Demon Lord soon after the fight between John and the Dragons. Jade's brother was supposed to lead an entire legion of Demons to ambush and attack John. As a result Jade attacked her brother and his forces. Jade beat them all within an inch of their lives before beating her own older brother to the point of near death she also did the same to her father who was also supposed to lead an attack on John. Jade managed to convince the Demon Lord to allow her to lead the force to pass along the message of the Demon Lord peacefully instead of through violence which is why she was leading the army of Demons to the hideout* John stands before and the army of Demons his guard naturally up. The current John could win if the two sides clashed however it would be a near death outcome. Jade says "John it's not what you think this is not an attack" John says "What is the purpose than?" Jade says "John my master asks that you join him for dinner"
