Max was an old man and had a family and grand children to protect which was one of the reasons he had to keep them safe when the John's attacked him. Max detonated all of the nukes that was so they could hit John head on. Max had also designed an armor that protected him from the power of the nukes fortunately it did just that. John's hosts survived the nukes but died two seconds after the fact. So it was all transferred back to the original body. Max had also prepared another type of nuke petrifacation nukes which were all aimed at the petrified body of John Max says "This world doesn't need us in it so begone" Max launched all of the petrifacation nukes all of them hit John's petrified body transferring that petrifacation on top of the current petrifacation that trapped John. However a single part of John was not caught in the blasts or in John so it was able to escape the fate of John this was his shadow. John's shadow was the last fragment of John's awareness and presence in the world. John's son was tragically lost in the blasts of the Nukes but sacrificed himself to protect his wife daughter the Demons and the other followers of the Demon king his sacrifice allowed them all to live. The power that was contained in the nukes expanded and made more of the world's energy and power for future generations. John's shadow attached itself to a little boy who was born weak and unable to use magic or energy.
