Finally winter break. I have been waiting for this day all my life. Well not really, but you get what I mean.

I got out of the bed I looked out the window. Snow covered the ground and everything. It's so, beautiful outside. But too cold to even set foot. I dressed warm and went downstairs. My mother was at home.

"Morning darling," she smiled. I hugged her and kissed her cheek.

"Morning," I said. Grabbing a strawberry, I sat on the chair. Today, Kenny and I will be going Christmas shopping. Better to shop now than later. Don't want to be those last minute people.

"Morning family," Kenny came I'm through the kitchen door. Andrew followed they been spending lots of time together. Like a lot. Now, I don't want to say anything. But last time I went to Kenny apartment, I found an open package of condoms just out in the open for all to see. And a used one in the bathroom. And Kenny seems not to be able to sit right, these days. Yikes.

"Morning Kenny," my mother set plates of blueberry pancakes, bacon, sausages, eggs, and honey. She also pled a blow of fruit. "Eat up."

We sat down and dug in I was starving. I sighed. My belly is huge now. Barely fit into my clothes.

"So how are you and Anthony doing, heard his out of town," Kenny said.

"We're doing okay, and yeah," I said. "For a job or something like that." Anthony and I have been together almost a month. We are close to it, but we have been happy. Not sure how the other guy will take it, I haven't seen him in a while.

But I hope he takes it well. He may be the father, but I deserve to be happy with someone who's alive. And has skin.

"That's nice," Kenny smiled.

After breakfast, we went out. Kenny wasn't driving, but Andrew. But in Kenny's car.

As we drove, I relaxed in the back seat. What should I get Anthony? Come to think of it. I never ask him what he likes or anything like that.

"Hello? Earth to Cassidy," I looked at Kenny. "We're here." I got out. I need to stop zoning out like that.

When we walked in it was full at first, we went to the clothing section. I needed more warm clothes and some hats. I love hats. But I got distracted by the baby section. And I found all these cute baby clothes the baby shoes were so, adorable. I couldn't get my eyes off them.

"Here you are, Cassie," Kenny walked over with Andrew holding a pile of clothes. "Oh, I see."

"Look, Kenny," I held up a pair of socks. "Aren't they cute."

"Look at this one," he held up a small shirt. "Greatest uncle." I chuckled.

In the end, I ended up buying baby clothes. And some clothes for me. Next, we purchased gifts. Easy to find things for my parents. And but a little something for Andrews little brother, and for him as well. Also, I finally decided to buy, Anthony a necklace. One of those that can break apart and give the other half to that special someone. I didn't know if I should buy, the Reaper something. That's what I'm going to call him since there is no other name for him. But I didn't, the gift his getting is this child.

"I'm hungry," I said. "Let's get something to eat." We walked over to the food court. "Pretzels." I stood in line to get one. I want something cheesy pretzel with cheese. Best thing ever. I got my pretzel with cheese and sat next to Kenny who bought some chilly dogs and nachos.

"That pretzel isn't enough," he said. "Eat this." He pushed over the chilly dog. And the smell made my stomach rumble. Guess I'll eat it too. Kenny knows me so well.
