This Kenny view.

Kenny-

"Ceres no more poking," I said. This child. She's been poking everyone she meets. It's a bad habit. My fault, of course, I shouldn't have thought her that.

"Kenny," I looked up, Christine sat next to me."Any news about where Andrew or David are. Or Anthony?"

"Nope," I said.

Since the whole accident. A day after that, all three disappeared. Anthony apartment was empty. David things where gone. Andrew just left home without telling his parents. If only they knew their son was already dead and became something else. But that is a secret I must keep to myself. It was a shock for me. But I recover. Now he's gone. They're all gone. Where did they go off too? Anthony just abandoned his daughter and Cassidy.

"I see," Christine sighed. "The doctors said it's a miracle that Cassidy even alive. The wound wasn't deep, but still deadly."

"Yeah, I'm just glad she's alright," I said. "And now we wait for her to wake up."

"But it's been a week already," Christine said. "Just want her to wake up."

"Ceres no," I said. "No more poking."

It has been a week, and Cassidy hasn't awakened. The doctors said it wouldn't be long before she awakes.

"Why don't you take Ceres home?" She said.

"Okay, she's getting irritated," I said standing up. "I'll be going. Please call me if anything happens?".

"I will, thank you, Kenny," she smiled.

"Come Ceres," she waved goodbye. I grabbed her diaper bag and walked out. Heading to the parking lot, I grabbed my keys.

Once we got to the car, I opened it and set Ceres in her car seat. I buckle her up as she grabbed her bunny. I closed the door and got into the driver side, buckling up.

"Alright, here we go," I looked back at her. She giggled.

Through this week I have been the one to take care of her. Since they found her locked up in the car, the day of the accident. I'm sure Cassidy place her in there for safety. Now I'll babysit her while Cassidy is in the hospital. Ceres does miss her. She would point at a picture of her as if asking where she is. I tell her, her mommy has a boo-boo and the doctors caring for her. Think she understands. I drove to my house. I moved, to a house closer to Cassidy house. Where neighbors.

Once we arrived, I got her out and grabbed her bunny. It was the weekend so yeah. During the week, Andrews mother or, Cassidy's mother would watch her. While I go to school, then I would pick her up, because her grandparents spend their days mostly at the hospital.

"Oh, what's this?" There was a package. Opening the front door, I went in and set Ceres down. Setting the bag on the couch I went back and grabbed it, closing the door I sat on the floor with Ceres. She had turned the TV on that is something David thought her.

But then Ceres saw the box and crawled over she tapped the top. She wants me to open the box.

"Yeah let's see what it is," I opened it. Using my key to cut the tape. Inside was those foam peanuts. Ceres grabbed that first and threw them around her. "Ceres," I sighed and dug into the box I pulled out a brown bear with a pink bow. Some candy bars, books, and a few other things. And they were all for Ceres. They had a tag with her name on it. But from who? I dug more. I dumped everything from the box. And paper fell out. I grabbed it and read it.

'This for Ceres, sorry for everything. I won't be going back home. At least not for awhile. Anthony sends the bear; I send the books. And David the rest. Someday will be back. For now, take care. I love you, Kenny. Always remember that.'

-Andrew-

That jerk. How could Andrew send a note and not come himself? But it can't be helped. At least they showed signs they're alive.

I laughed at that; they aren't alive. "Da."

"Yeah Ceres, your dad send you the b-," wait did she said 'Da.' Holy mother of fudge. "Ceres you talked."

She giggled holding the bear. I smiled. Her first word and neither of her parents are here to hear it.

"Don't worry your mommy will be home soon," I said. "Now let's clean this up."

She began to put the foam peanuts into the box. Once that was done I took it to the kitchen and left it by the back door. When I went back, Ceres was on the couch watching tv.

"So what do you want to eat?" I asked. Of course, she won't answer me. "How about mac and cheese." She clapped her hands. When she does that, it means it's what she wants. "Alright, you stay here while I go make it."

I went to the kitchen and got out things to make it while I was stirring the ingredients Ceres crawl over. "What's up?" She held her cup. "Oh, you want some juice." I opened the fridge and got the juice out. Washing the cup first then fill it up. Sealing it, I gave it to her. "There we go." She sips on it with a smile on her face.

I went back to making the mac and cheese. Ceres crawled back into the living room. Good thing I can keep an eye on her. Through this small window.

After I finish making the mac and cheese, I let it cool down, and took the time to make myself some tuna sandwich. Not just a tuna sandwich, but one with veggies.

Once the mac and cheese was finish, I serve some in Ceres heart-shaped plate. And taking my plate and hers into the living room. There I placed them on the coffee table. She got off the couch and stood by the coffee table. She can stand up but only by supporting herself with the wall or anything that can help her.

"Eat up," I handed her the fork. She instead picked it with her fingers. Chuckling, I bit into my sandwich.

I got up and got me some juice. I came back to Ceres poking her finger into my sandwich. Little holes were now in the bread.

Chuckling, I sat down she's so, adorable. I ate, my sandwich. Ceres was getting sleepy. Once in a while, I would see her nod her head. She had finished eating. I took her down the hall and into the bathroom.

"First bath time," I said. She yawned. "I know you're exhausted." I quickly bathed her. Dress her I'm her pj's and laid her on my bed.

She sleeps with me since she cries when I lay her in the crib. She cuddles her bear and bunny. Soon she was fast asleep.

I went back to the living room and cleaned up. After that, I took a shower. The off to bed. Made sure all doors where locked. I laid in bed. Hopefully, Cassidy will wake up soon. I miss her.

Though she'll be asking for Anthony, then I won't know what to tell her.

It saddens me that I won't see Andrew anymore. My first love. He'll always be my first love. Just wish he wouldn't be such a coward. Why did they leave? This just stupid. Anthony shouldn't have disappeared like that leaving Cassidy alone like that. Ceres deserves to have both her parents. It's just not fair. I cuddle her.

"I'll take good care of you," I said. "Even if I have to become straight." I would so go straight if it meant Ceres would have a father. And to not let the town tease Cassidy about how she ended up with a child since this town can sometimes be noisy. I sighed.

Cassidy, please get well.
