28: Vacation

"Ceres you look adorable!" Kenny squealed. Ceres giggled. "Come on."

Kenny picked her up and ran into the water. Ceres giggled. Splashing water around. Kenny set her by the shore. I followed them and got in the water.

"We should teach her to swim," Kenny said. "So in case, she falls in. She'll be able to swim."

"Oh," I nodded and picked Ceres up and went deeper into the water. She splashed water. Her little feet were moving around.

Kenny took her from me.

"Alright," Kenny smiled. He set her on her belly. Ceres just splashed around. "Look doggy paddle." I laughed.

We spend a few minutes teaching her how to swim. Kenny let her go a few times. She would float only for a few seconds. Then she would sink. Kenny would grab her. Ceres just giggled. We set her by the shore. She played with her toys.

"The water so nice!" Kenny said. "So I heard Kendra moved to another state, thank god. We won't be seeing her face anymore! Oh and her ex-single. That sexy ass!"

"Kenny," I chuckled. "But that's good. I mean Kendra. Not about her ex."

"I'll get a slice of that," Kenny said.

"You have Andrew," I said.

"I don't care, he abandoned me," Kenny said. "So I have the rights to date!" I sighed. Nothing will change his mind. "Ow." Ceres began to throw rocks. "Bad baby bad." Ceres giggled.

I smiled. Floating on my back, I stated up at the sky and watched the birds fly. Why did I live? If I was on his list, it meant I was supposed to die, yet I lived. But why?

"Ahh!" Kenny screamed. I almost drowned, from his screaming. I regained my balance and looked at him. He was on someone. "You perv!" Ceres had climbed on the person back too. "Yeah hit him Ceres. Show him who's boss." I shook my head and got out. Walking over, I picked Ceres up.

"Bad, no hitting," I said. "Kenny get of him."

"Oh, hey, Omar!" Kenny yelled.

What's Omar doing around here? This private property. Kenny got off and helped him up.

"What you doing here?" I asked.

"I'm on vacation, needed to get away from home and everyone," he sighed. "Than I spotted you three. I didn't know if it was you guys. So I got closer. So yeah sorry."

"Oh," I smiled. "Well, now you know."

"Yeah," he looked down. "Can I hang with you guys? I need a new group of friends. Tired of being followed around by all the jocks and girls."

"Oh really?" Kenny gasped. "You, the hottest popular guy in school. Is tired of being followed by handsome people?!"

"Yeah," he chuckled. "I even quit football and joining the art class."

"What?!" Kenny squealed. Kenny is in the art class too. Ceres giggled.

"Your daughter?" Omar asked.

"Yeah, sorry about her hitting you," I said. "She does everything Kenny does."

"Its fine, she looks like you," he said.

"Thank you," I smiled. "Well, I guess you can join us. What cabin you're staying in?"

"None, I barely got here," he said.

"He can stay with us!" Kenny bashes his eyes at him. Omar just chuckled.

So we let Omar stay with us and it's fun having him around. Ceres likes him.

And Kenny, well he likes him. And me, well we can be good friends.

"Ceres no," I sighed. "Now your cover in flour."

"Ma!" She clapped her hands giggling.

"She's a troublemaker," Kenny said. "Who is she getting all that from?" We looked at him. "Psh, what it wasn't me."

We laughed.

I bathed Ceres her hairs is longer now. I could braid it, but she likes it down.

"Their now no more getting dirty," I said.

"Ma!" She giggled. I set her down. She crawled over to the couch and got on grabbing her bunny.

"Hmm food," Kenny drool.

"Kenny," I chuckled.

"What I'm hungry," he said eating his food. "Mmm."

"Glad you like my cooking," Omar said. Kenny winked.

Ceres patted my leg. I picked her up. She reached for Kenny food.

"Na uh," Kenny said. Ceres lip quiver.

"Here you go," Omar handed her a plate. She smiled. Ceres grabbed the fork. But like always she used her hands.

I had to feed her because I didn't want her to get dirty. "So next year will be nice," Omar said. "Our last year."

"Yeah, it will be nice," I said.

"So no more football for you?" I asked.

"No, I need a break," Omar said. "The coach wasn't so happy about it."

"I see," I smiled. "Well its what you want. Not what anyone else wants."

"I know," he chuckled. "My parents said if I don't go back they'll kick me out of the house. I don't mind though. I have a job so yeah."

"You can stay with me," Kenny said. "I moved to a house."

"Oh," Omar smiled. "Thanks."

"Being kicked out for something as that is mess up," Kenny said. "Than again, I got kicked out for being gay."

"Sorry for calling your names," Omar said. "It was wrong."

"Don't worry about it," Kenny said. "It's in the past."

"Alright," Omar stretched. Ceres copy him. "She copies a lot doesn't she?"

"Yeah," I said. "Ceres a copycat." Ceres giggled.

"Let's watch a movie," Kenny said. "A scary movie!"

"Nunu," Ceres shook her head.

"Will watch it after you fall asleep," Kenny said. Ceres did fall asleep. I placed her on my bed. Then, Kenny, Omar and I watched a movie. A scary clown movie. How I despised clowns.

I made some popcorn. We sat down and watched it. I cover my eyes once in a while. Kenny kept squealing. Told him to keep it down, so he won't wake Ceres up. He screamed when the clown just popped out of nowhere. I slap him with the pillow. He stuck his tongue at me like a little kid. Omar just chuckled. We went back to watching it. When it was over, I was exhausted.

"Well off to bed," I said standing up. Kenny nodded.

"Me too," Omar said. We all went to our rooms.

Ceres was on the edge. Manage to catch her before she fell. She yawned. I smiled laying next to her covering us up. She cuddle closer. Her little cheeks where red. Next year, things will be different. New friends, new home. New life. New everything. Ceres learning how to walk. Soon she'll be running around. She's speaking. She'll learn many things. I'll be putting her in preschool. Best for her to learn at an early age. She'll be one smart little kid. Kissing her rosy cheek, I closed my eyes.

I'll wait for Anthony. He'll come back.
