It was the 80's, the band members went to a ball. Paul and Gene brought their girlfriends while Eric and Bruce were already a couple. They danced and danced having a good time while a woman watched wearing a hooded cloak.
"Ladies and gentlemen it's that time of night. You may dance with someone you didn't bring with you. Tonight we end the king and queens waltz." The man said.
Two men came up to Paul and Gene's girlfriends and asked to dance with them. They were hesitant but their boyfriends agreed.
"Shall we?" Gene asked holding his hand out.
Paul took his hand and walked to the dance floor. Gene put his right hand on Paul's waist and Paul put his left hand on Gene's shoulder. Then they started dancing. It somehow felt right and romantic. They didn't felt this with their dates.
To the two it felt like it was only them in the ballroom. They feel their heart beating and face flushing. They danced and smiled at each other they fell in love right there. They went in to kiss but Gene's girlfriend came in.
"Mind if I cut in?" She said.
"No of course." Paul said.
Paul's girlfriend wanted to not dance no more so she decided to go get drinks for the both of em. Paul went to the staircase and just saw the man he fell in love with kiss the girl who he was dating. He was holding back tears as he saw them kiss.
The kiss between the two didn't have that spark anymore but continued dancing. Paul continued watching with his eyes filled with tears.
"Hello." A person said.
Paul was startled and said "Oh hello."
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you." The person said.
"Who are you?" Paul asked.
"Just a woman who loves balls." The woman said.
"What do you want?" Paul asked.
"I can see the pain in your eyes. You want to be with him but you can't. You know there is a way to forget those feelings." The woman said.
Paul was intrigued by that and decided to keep listening. The woman took out an apple.
"Just one bite and all your feelings for him will be gone. You'll only remember the friendship you two share and the band you made." The woman said.
"Are you sure it'll work?" Paul asked.
"Yes I do spells sweetheart. I can sense you have magic too from your mothers side." The woman said.
Paul was thinking about it but the woman put the apple in his hand.
"Hurry the magic will be gone after midnight." The woman said.
Paul looked at the apple then looked at Gene. He closed his eyes then took a bite. Then he passed out on to the floor the apple fell out of his hand and rolled to Gene. Gene picked it up and was confused.
The woman took off her hood and looked at Paul.
"For my ancestors." The woman said.
Eric got out the bathroom then saw Paul unconscious on the floor.
"NO PAUL!" Eric screamed.
Everyone looked to where the scream was coming from. Bruce ran to Eric to make sure he was alright.
"Eric what's wrong?" Bruce asked.
"It's Paul look." Eric said pointing.
Bruce picked Paul up and yelled "Somebody help please!"
The place was shocked to see Paul unconscious.
Gene and his girlfriend ran to Paul.
The people got a couch to make Paul comfortable. Gene went up to Paul side. Paul's girlfriend went to his side crying and begging for him to wake up.
"Did anyone see what happened?" Bruce cried out.
Everyone responded no but one did.
"It was me. That apple you hold in your hand young man is poisoned and he took a bite by midnight he'll be dead." The woman said as she laughed.
"There's gotta be something we can do to wake him up." Bruce said.
"True loves kiss?" Eric asked. "I mean it works in fairytales maybe it works in real life too?"
They looked at Eric like he was crazy.
"Well it doesn't hurt to try." Eric said.
Paul's girlfriend agreed and went in for the kiss after it was done. Paul didn't wake up she tried again and again.
"It didn't work." The girlfriend said.
"Gene kiss him." Eric said.
"No it can't be me." Gene said.
"Kiss him Gene it's ok." Gene's girlfriend said.
Gene went to Paul's side and whispered "Please don't leave me."
Gene then went down and kissed Paul. The clock strike midnight after he kissed him. Everyone was praying hoping he wake up. Paul opened his eyes and saw Gene.
"Paul." Gene said as he hugged Paul.
The woman screamed and said "True loves kiss won't save you next time. We will meet again Paul I swear on my ancestors lives."
Just like that she disappeared. Everyone was shocked but cheered that Paul was awake and well they all went back to partying.
The girlfriends went up to them and one of them said "Well I guess this is where we break up?"
"I mean we can call it going separate ways." Gene said.
"Works for me." The other girl said.
The two went back to the party.
Gene and Paul looked at each other.
"I guess this is where we confess to each other." Paul said as he smiled.
"I think we already did." Gene said smiling.
The two kissed which they felt they can do forever. They went to the dance floor and danced like an actual couple.
"I love you." Gene said.
"I love you too." Paul said.
They kissed again and embraced each other.
