SANA'S POV
"Please tell me you found her." I told my private investigator.
"I'm very sorry Miss Minatozaki. We couldn't find her. We tried everything. It's like she totally disappeared from the face of the earth." Namjoon answered.
I cursed under my breath.
"Thank you. You may leave."
"We'll keep searching Miss." he bowed before leaving my office.
I stood from my chair and look at the window.
How long has it been already? 7 months? Chaeyoung still hasn't woken up and here I am, doing everything I can to find Mina but she just doesn't want to show up. Since that day I saw the letter, I knew something happened. But I wasn't informed that those short words she wrote will leave a big mark on us. Her mother would always cry in front of me, asking me if I already have at least a bit if information but she just cried even more when I tell her that we're still investigating. Even her sister, Jeongyeon, doesn't know her whereabouts. They said that she left a letter saying she'll be back when she's healed and told them not to worry.
I took a big gulp from my whiskey and huffed a smoke. I've been feeling stressed lately. But I rarely smoke. Just on situations like this.
"Are you smoking again?" My girlfriend asked as she entered my office. Did I mention she's living with me now? I asked her to move in with me since I feel calmer when she's around.
"I'm just..... I think I need this. I'm sorry." I threw away the half-lit cigarette.
"No it's okay. I understand. Even I don't know what to do. I'm worried about her you know." She sadly said. My baby has changed since Mina left. Her face is paler, eyes are darker, and she also got thinner. She's been losing sleep for the past couple of months
"Hey. Come here." I ask her to sit beside me. "I promise you, we'll find her. Okay? Don't worry." I hugged her and she buried her face on my neck.
"I just don't understand why did she leave us like that. How could she just forget about everything? I feel bad for everyone, especially Chaeyoung. What if she wakes up and we still don't have Mina?" Momo asked me while crying.
"Baby I'm doing everything I can okay? We'll be fine. Chaeyoung will be fine."
I asked her to take a rest since she looks tired and helpless. I went to the hospital where Chaeyoung was confined. We put her in a more spacious room, and the most expensive one. Dahyun on the other hand is currently doing perfectly fine. She woke up two days after the incident, fully healed but, she wept like a child when she saw Chaeyoung and found out her condition. Until then, she would always stay with Chaeyoung and tell her about what happened to her the whole day.
Damien on the other hand was arrested. He was also sent to North Korea where he will be imprisoned until he died. The Kim Group of Companies together with the Minatozaki Clan made this possible. We agreed it would be best if he stay away from Chaeyoung his whole life. She herself would agree with this too. Son Corp is still standing strong and is currently under Park Jihyo's supervision, Chaeyoung's most trusted secretary. We appointed her since she knows more about the company than we do.
Lisa on the other hand, survived too. She was hit on her stomach and suffered head injuries but she is fully healed now. We found out that she really is a spy from the military. Her mission all along was to take down Mr. Son and his illegal underground business. But after 3 months of full recovery, she too, disappeared along with her girlfriend. We didn't get anything after that.
I arrived 30 minutes later riding my black Wrangler. Everyone greeted me but I wasn't in my best mood so I just walk past them. I am wearing my sunglasses so they couldn't see me rolling my eyes. Chaeyoung's room is on the 20th Floor and it took me about 2 minutes in the elevator to get there. I knocked two times before entering. But she wasn't there. Chaeyoung isn't in her bed. I panicked when I saw her IV on the floor, her medicine glass shattered, tables are knocked down, and even the vase was broken. Then I heard footsteps behind me. I turn around and saw her. Chaeyoung, hands are covered with her own blood. She was crying but she looks really angry.
