DAHYUN'S POV
"What was that all about?" I asked Sana as we looked at the retreating figure of Momo and Mina.
"I don't know. I just.... I like seeing her all flustered because of me. Did you notice that? she's always like that in front of me. She's always blushing." Sana asked curiously
"Huh. Are you thinking she likes you? How could she like someone as dumb as you are?"
"You're not funny. Come on. Let's skip class today. I don't feel like it anymore."
"Alright. Where are we going then?" I asked.
"We'll go to Chae's pad." she said, already getting in her car.
"Sweet. I'll call her." I said as I fished out my phone from my pocket.
I called our best friend from her office. She picked after 3 rings.
"Yow sup' dude."
"What do you need this time Dubu? I'm busy." She said in a rather cold and deep voice. She sounds like she just woke up.
"Well me and Sana are coming over for some beers. You cool with that? Oh don't answer, we're already on our way HAHAHA." I said and it earned a chuckle from her.
"Okay okay. Fine. I need that too. Later. " she said and dropped the call.
As we made our way to Chae, I noticed that Sana had a smile on her face.
"Eheeem. Someone's happy. Mind telling me who's got you smiling like that?" I asked grinning.
"What? I'm not. I'm just, just me. You know I smile a lot." she said still smiling. She's too obvious.
"You can't fool me Sana. I've known you since you're toddler. Well I ought to know the details." I said shrugging the thought off and think of anything else.
Momo.
I think I just found the one for me. We clicked right away. She's funny, smart, and very easy to go around with.
" Hey Sana. Did you know Mina's friend, Momo, is great at dancing?" I asked trying to look cool.
"Really? I had no idea about that. How'd you know?"
"I---uh---- watched a few of her dance videos on her channel she showed me earlier and I must say, she got some moves. She's just amazing." I said dreamily.
"Someone's in love." Sana said grinning, not taking her eyes off the road.
"W-WHAT???? I'M NOT!!!! WHO SAID I WAS???!" I'm not in love with her!!!!
"Idiot. I didn't said it was you. God you're too obvious. Seriously man, get a hold of yourself." Sana said.
"W-what?? I------"
"Oh look we're here. Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." She said then winked and got out of the car.
I furrowed my eyebrows and got out too. We made our way to the building and rode the elevator.
CHAEYOUNG'S POV
I was typing in my laptop when my secretary called through the intercom.
"Boss may I remind you that you have an afternoon meeting with Ms. Chou about that property in Taiwan." Jihyo happily said.
"Okay. Thank you." I answered then turned my attention to the window.
I saw some birds flying over and imagined what it's like to be free and careless, just flying around and pooping over everyone else like it's nothing.
I bet she's happy now. She wants freedom, I gave it to her. But why do I feel like I'm still stuck in this situation even after 7 years has passed?
I can still remember back then when we used to enjoy small things to ourselves. We were young and wild and free and very much contented.
But those days are way behind me now. One day she knew about my secret hideaway and caught me stabbing a man who tried to kiss her when we were at a party. She was shocked of course. But what I didn't expect was when she got closer and kneeled in front of the man. She cried as she was caressing his face as if he was her lover.
Then it hit me.
Now it all comes together. What Dahyun's been telling me about seeing her with a man.
I saw pain and anger in her eyes as she rose to her feet.
She punched me continously and I just let her. I felt so betrayed and hurt that I didn't felt her punches. I may be a killer but I'm not heartless.
She eventually broke up with me. Asked me to let her go and to never show up again.
She hated me, despised me.
But I still love her even though she cheated on me.
I was in the middle of my thoughts when my door opened.
These two needs to learn how to knock or I'll knock them down myself.
"Yow Baby! Dude! Long time no seeee!" She said as she sat down on my sofa.
"Dahyun if you keep blabbering you really won't see me for a long time." I said standing from my chair to grab some whiskey and glass.
"Whoa. Too early for that. Let's have some beers first." Sana said suggestively, or should I say, joyfully. She was smiling like an idiot.
"Why are you smiling like that? What happened? " I asked curiously.
"Mina happened." Dahyun said shuffling through my JB CDs.
"What?? No it's not about her." Sana said defensively.
I saw Sana blushing and fidgeting in her seat.
"It's obviously her. Who is she by the way?" I asked
"She's from our Music Class." Dahyun answered .
"Mind introducing us to her?" I said packing my things up.
"Why don't we go over some drinks this evening. Then I'll talk." She said standing.
"Well that works for me. I still have to meet someone today." Dahyun said
"Okay well I'm heading home early. I got plans." I said already at the door with the two tailing behind me.
We got out of the building and parted ways. We decided to meet at 8 on our favorite bar.
As I'm heading home, I thought that maybe I could use a saw this time. That'll scare him off.
I smirked at the thought and drove faster.
