Chapter Five

I saw Dallas coming back he had is hand filled with drinks as he was coming he stop and handed out each and one of us drinks and i said
"thanks" in a low tone he hand to the girl name cherry and said "this well cool you off" she grab the drink and saw him lighting a cigarette she looked made and splash the drink on him "the will learn to cool you off"
She said even madder he went to go hugged her or something "leave her alone dal" Johnny said "what you say...what did you me you little shit" he said "come on dal" Johnny said in a low voice "Johnny right...leave her alone can you respect that you been bothering her since we got here she told you to stop a whole bunch of times I'm sorry Dallas for telling you this but you do need to stop please" I said in disbelief "so that's why you came here to boss me around, go back to New York and get beaten up" he said coldly mad as he got up and left

I couldn't believe he said that to me and even worse he said in front of everyone Johnny just looked at me when Dallas said that I heard ponyboy respond "you ok" he said in a low voice "yeah I'm good" I said with a shaky voice I'm going to get a drink "but you already have a drink in your hand" ponyboy said again "I know" I respond I could hear someone behind me "look I said I'm fine" as I kinda yelled at the person "oh I'm sorry cherry i didn't know that was you"  said in a low voice "no...it's fine" she replied back "I'm sorry for what I heard when Dallas yelled those words at you" I took a sigh and looked down "it's fine" "I haven't properly introduced myself I'm Sherri Valance but my friends call me cherry" she said "I know I heard you and ponyboy talking earlier....my name is Elaine Winston...Dallas is my older brother sorry the way he was acting towards you earlier" I said "it's fine Elaine" "so did you really needed a drink" she said "no i didn't really need a drink I just needed to catch my breath after Dallas said that to me" I said

Me and cherry went back to our seats and I saw two bits talking Marcia I sat down next to ponyboy and we all sat down to finish the last little bit of the movie and called a night so we all walk along side of the fence and I heard cherry said "Marcia" as there was a car pulling up behind us "oh no what are we supposed to do" Marcia said nervously "who are these clams" two bit said "cherry what's going on..what are you doing...just because we got a little drunk does mean you have to-" a little calling reeling and passing out on the streets a little bob I've told you before I'm never going out with you and your drinking and I mean it" she said yelling at him "that no reason to go and walk in the streets with these bums" randy said "who you calling bums pal" two bit said "you..listen we got two more of us in the backseat" randy said I was looking at the car and I hear beer bottle smashing and saw two bit handing it to ponyboy "pity the back seat" there all fighting telling each other to bring it on and cherry and Marcia telling them to stop
And they pulled there girls and drove off as ponyboy and two bit left

As they all left I went to go see Dallas to see if he cool down I was arriving to the place were Dallas stays I could see someone sitting on the steps I was getting close and I saw Dallas sitting there he look at me in a sad way get quickly got up and pulled me into a big hug I hug him back and he said "I'm so sorry Elaine I wish I couldn't had said that to you like that I'm so sorry" he said silently crying I felt streams of tears running down my eyes too "I know we just met but your suppose to protect me but you say the meanest thing to me...but I'm sorry for telling you what to do" I said "no I shouldn't have said that to you I'm really sorry" "thank you for being here I remember me and you would always play at the park with mom" I said "me too" Dallas reply
