Is it just me or is anyone else counting down the days till Holiday break. I wanted to give you all this chapter because I have a lot of test at school this week so I will take this week off from editing and writing. Anyway please vote and comment what you think. I'll see you all next chapter
Skylar POV
Tori punches my arm
"What the fuck was that for"
"That for leaving me with your whining mom for not one but two days" she says but I laugh. She grabs my arm and basically drags me into the great hall. We take a seat and she starts telling me all about the dance and the train ride, how Blaise says he can eat fifty chocolate frogs faster than Theo and well he lost.
"It was so bad Sky I mean he was throwing up so we had to find another cabin." She says cringing at the memory. I look around at all the excited first years practically jumping out there seats
"You remember when that was us" Tori says
"Yeah I also remember your temper" I say and she scoffs
"If someone said your potions are mediocre you would had been pissed too"
"Snape said that because it his job" I say and she roll her eyes
"Shut it"
Dumbledore stands and grabs everyone's attention. He makes his usual speech and introduces this lady in all pink. I wouldn't have recognized her if he didn't say her name. She works under my father in the ministry. I met her a couple of times.
"Now for the last part I'm announcing the new incoming perfects. He announced the Hufflepuffs ones and Ravenclaws and Tori grip on my arm going to leave a bruise. She doesn't want anything to do with the prefect, she wants the perks like the bathroom and giving and taking points but she doesn't want the responsibility she says it is tiring.
"The gryffindor prefects are Hermoine Granger and Ron Wealsy." They cheer them on and Tori groans.
"Great, now I have to wait another five minutes till he announces our house." Tori groans
"I'll think you'll make a great prefect" I say but she flips me off
"Now the Slytherin prefects are..." He starts
"Draco Malfoy and Skylar Rivera" He finishes as our house cheers for us. I looked down the table and saw Theo and Blaise cheering him on. He was wearing a black button up with his robe over it.
"YES" Tori screams, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"As your bestfriend You should give our house 50 points daily." She says with a grin on her face and I laugh
"No" I say and she fake gasp
"Bitch" she says and I gasp. She laughs
"So are you really not going to give us points" She whisper like it top secret information
"I'll see" I whisper back and she grins. We continue to eat our dinner. Once we were finished we walked out the great hall. Just as we walk out an arm wraps around Tori's neck, startled she punched the person in their gut.
Blaise hunched over in pain and I jumped from Theo laughing behind me. Once finished he looks up and grins at me. He open his arms
"Long time no see Sky" I laugh and walk over and hug him. I groan
"Why must you be so tall" He laughs and pats my head which I punch him in his gut
"Don't push it" I say and he laughs and wraps his arm around my shoulder.
"It's okay Sky, the tall ones are always assholes" Tori says, making both Blaise and Theo laugh.
"Skylar, Snape says go to his office after you finished your dinner." Blaise tell me and I nod
"I'll get going then and Tori, I'll see you later at the dorm." I say and she nods
"Bye babe" She says and blows a kiss my way and I return the gesture.
I turn around going the opposite way from them making my way towards Severus' office. I straighten my robe and run my fingers through my hair. There's a line with the other prefects and just I was about to walk in one of them stop me
"You have to get in line just like the rest of us." She says crossing her arms while the other snickers.
"And what the line is for" I ask
"To get out roles of course" she spats
"Where waiting for Professor Snape now no ones aloud to go in his office" A boy says
"Yeah so newbie back of the line" The girl spat at me again
"Yeah no thank you" I open Snape's door but she pushes it back close and starts going on about how I should stay in my place and that she is older than me so I should respect her. She grabs my wrist trying to pull my hand away from the door knob
"Listen-" I start
"I suggest you let her go unless you want to hear from both our fathers." I sign recognizing his voice from anywhere. The girl turns her gaze to him as I snatch my wrist from her. i turned around and leaned on the door
"Your fathers?"
"Their fathers are probably nobody. Cloe, he is just bluffing to help his girlfriend." The boy spoke again
"Not his girlfriend" I say and he chuckles, making me look up at him.
"Really" he says with a smirk he looks at the two again
"Lucius Malfoy and William Rivera and I'm pretty sure they'll put your family lower than poverty. " He says and the girl lets out a small gasp but then composes herself.
"Skylar Rivera, nice to meet you" I say and hear Draco chuckling. I drop my hand
"Your bluffing" She says
"I don't bluff" He spats as I push her arm away from the door. I open the door and as soon as I walk in I try to slam the door but he catches it walking in himself.
"I didn't need any help" I say, turning around to look at him. His platinum blood hair is messy and his robe in his hand.
"I know darling thought I just saved you the energy" he smirks and I roll my eyes.
"Congratulations" He says and I mumble and Thank you and tell him congrats as well."
"Since we're both waiting let talk" He says
"Too much of a conversation especially with Severus on his way" I say avoiding the topic I avoided the whole summer which I will never admit to Tori.
"Ah severus won't be here for another hour or two" He say and I gave him a look and he smirk
"I may or may not cause any problems here so we have time darling" I sign and stand up walking behind Severus' desk. Placing both of my hands on the desk
"I'm sorry did I say we don't have the time I mean I dont have the time no hush" I say and he groans walking to the desk and placing both of his hands on the desk making him across from me.
"Don't be difficult"
"I have every right to be don't eye"
"Yes, but you can at least hear me out"
"Why should I"
"You left me on my birthday"
"You cheated"
"Not intentionally I would never do that you on purposed and you know that"
"Do I" He signs and walks around the desk to the side of me.
"Yes you do, you wanna know how I know." He inches closer
"How" I whisper and in a flash his lips are on mine. And old sparks that I put out for a long time. Ignites
