Six Days later
Skylar Pov
"Who coming over tonight" I say and my mother drops the hair brush she was using to do my hair
"Excuse me"
"All we've doing all week is going to shops and salons" I say, All week we've been going to shop to shop then she took me to different salons. She even took me to get my teeth checked. During all of this she been quiet too quiet and nervous.
"I wanted to spend time with my daughter is that a problem."
"Mother of course not but you have the elfs cleaning and cooking enough food to feed my who school." I say and she sign
"So what, were having guest Skylar it nothing special" She says her tone cold.
"Then why are you doing my hair" I say quietly watching my tone"
"There important guest my dear"
"Who are they"
"You'll see when they get here"
"Bu-"
"Skylar please, No more questions" She snaps and start braiding small sections of my hair. Next she puts my hair into a ponytail then wrapping it all into a bun placing pins in to hold it. I look into the vanity mirror and sign it doesn't look bad but I look like her.
"I look forty" I say and she signs
"You don't you look like an a young lady" She says and walks over to my bed and picks up the emerald green dress. She gives me a look and I sign getting up and walking over to her. She hands me the dress and I walk into my bathroom.
I take off my robe and slip into the dress. The dress is an off shoulder v neck and instead of it being lose, it wraps tight around me like an wet suit. I sit down on the edge of the bathtub and pull on the matching shoes before walking out.
"Oh you look so beautiful" My mother says coming behind me to zip up the dress. She then push me back to the vanity having me sit down. She then goes through my jewelry to put on me. From the side of my eye I see her pull a small sliver chain.
"Oh isn't this the necklace Dra-"
"Yes it is" I cut her off
"It still so beautiful, you'll wear it tonight"
"I rather not" I say and she stops her movements"
"And why is that"
"Why would I want to wear a reminder of my ex boyfriend"
"Because it a beautiful necklace Skylar"
"I don't want to wear it Mother"
"You know you've never told me what happen between you too"
"Nothing happened"
"Something happened one day your two happy then the next your not speaking to him"
"I don't want to talk about it"
"You never do, your wearing the necklace" She says as she clips on the necklaces on my neck. She then places both her hands on my shoulder
"Skylar"
"Yes"
"You do know I love you" she ask
"Of course I do mother" I say placing my left hand on her hand.
"Tonight is an important night for our whole family" I just nod
"Is Grandfather going to be there tonight" I said, He left earlier this week saying something if he says long he going to kill his son.
