joanne cackled at lark's suspicious expression, she sat herself down at the booth she was at the day before followed by heather and joseph.

"hello. what do you want?" lark demanded.

heather was taken aback, joseph raised his eyebrow and joanne's cackling increased. "you're the one my sister was a total bitch to last night!" joseph pointed at lark. "do you two know each other?"

"she's the one?" heather whispered back, glancing at her best friend and the disgruntled waitress.

lark gave joanne a questioning look. "we met in the supermarket, she spilled milk on me," the brunette answered her brother's question, the lie slipping out easily.

"oh, i'm sorry for her behaviour." heather sighed. "she's not normally like that, i'll have a talk with her."

"hey, it's okay. we're cool. right, lark?"

"yeah," lark replied. "now what would you like?"
