"i miss you guys too." heather pouted through the web cam with joseph by her side.

lark rolled over on her and joanne's shared bed. "come and visit then, mr. lawyer and mrs. i-break-bones-and-dreams-for-money."

joseph laughed. "i hope you're treating my big sister well, lark."

"of course. she's my queen."

"and she's my queen consort!" joanne butt in as she shuffled into the room with arms piling with food. "shut up about hurting me or whatever, baby bro."

heather laughed at her friends. "shoot. guys. i have to go, i have to write an essay for my morning class tomorrow."

"oh, bye then." joanne's face dropped.

lark wrapped an arm around joanne's head. "see you, heather, jo." then she slammed the laptop down and wrapped both arms around joanne's neck and growled, "we have too much clothes on."

"your monster machine is showing." joanne laughed, lightly nudging lark off her. "come with me."

"are we having movie night again?" the blonde exclaimed childishly as joanne led her to the living room.

the brunette shrugged. "you could say that. now, after i count down from five, come in."

lark frowned as joanne slammed the living room door in her face. when five very dragged out seconds ended, lark shot into the room, stopping in her tracks when she saw their flat screen TV playing a video of lark and joanne laughing starting from when they first opened their shop to success to joanne attending art classes and lark publishing her first book.

the video was filled with their video logs and whatever joanne could get her hands on, speaking of joanne, lark spun around and tears filled her eyes. "oh my god," she muttered.

"larky lion walter," joanne spoke loudly, projecting her voice over the video. "will you marry me?"

"yes. yes. yes." lark tackled the brunette to the floor and peppered kisses all over her face. "jesus christ, yes."

"i love you." joanne chuckled as lark continuously murmured yeses into her collarbone.

the blonde pulled her blonde hair out of her mouth and blinked the tears out of her eyes. "wow, i thought i would be the one to propose."

"ha. plot twist, mother fuckers."

lark snorted oh so attractively. "jojo, did you think we'd get here? from a screwed up teenager over divorce and a runaway nineteen year old to owners of a successful cafe and soon to be engaged."

"no way, we got our shit together."

"i love you."

joanne giggled. "i love you, too."
