'Chapter 1' - thoughts
"Chapter 1" - talking
~time~ - going to another time in the story.
3rd person pov.
Her father was beginning to start yelling at her because of a broken plate when taps on the window got the attention of everyone in the room. One of the guards walked over to the window to let in the grey owl. It hopped in and ruffled its feathers. Did it puff out its chest in...pride?
'What a strange owl' Alex thought watching with fascination.
Her father had recognition in his eyes and all previous fury had melted away to what she could only assume to be happiness. He untied the letter from the owl's leg and let it fly away out the still open window.
She tried to read her father's features to get a gauge on the contents of the letter. She didn't get much but from what she did, he was excited. He put the letter in a draw and locked it. He immediately grabbed his cloak and took a few strides out of the room. People inside were confused about the reaction but followed behind their Lord. Alex hung back and started to clean the broken plate off the floor with wandless magic.
Alex had the body of a child but her mind was forced to mature at a very harsh rate due to the environment she grew in. Naturally, her magic was definitely more powerful than that of an average four-year-old witch. Probably on par with a sixth-year student. That was to be expected though due to her DNA. Father, the most powerful man in the world, and a mother who she could only assume were also powerful. The thought of her father with anyone even remotely close to average made her laugh. Below-average and she would be put into Mungo's insanity ward for an extended stay. No there was no way that her mother wasn't powerful.
Her mother isn't something she was ever able to get information about. Whereabouts...appearance...age...name, none of it.
She had just finished when one of the guards came back and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her from the room. She didn't fight it. I mean how was she supposed to, she was tiny compared to the troll-like man pulling her.
They went through the many corridors to the entrance hall where her father was talking to some of his followers. They nodded and he finally acknowledged her presence.
"I want you to meet one of my oldest friends," He said and grabbed her apparating them to a park in some unknown location.
She stumbled but didn't fall which confused her. She looked down and realized he had prevented her fall. She stared at the arm in complete bewilderment. He never touched her for this long. He always kinda avoided touch unless it was necessary... as necessary it is to hit a child.
She finally looked up from the arm to the man in front of them. He was in his, maybe, late forties like her father. He had blonde brownish hair, styled back in a very elegant fashion. Most of what she could see made her intimidated by the man in front of her. Except for his robes. They were very basic in design but the color was something else. A purple but not a pretty or flattering shade, more of a pinkish hue to it.
The man in question looked back at her with just as much scrutiny.
She was tiny, barely 3 feet tall. Her face was very pretty, skin unblemished, incredibly long black lashes, pink-tinted lips that seemed to be in a constant pout. The part of her face that he couldn't help but stare at was her eyes. The same shade of Gellert's when he first met the now Dark Lord.
