The winter season sends cold winds that make anyone else shiver with every breeze. It was still early in the morning, however, [name] has already begun the day despite her boss giving her a furlough. Early birds get the worm, right?

Well, that wasn't the case as to how little things she had to do. No work, the house was clean, and she didn't have many friends aside from her coworkers. Not that she minded the lack of connections she had, to the point she didn't even realize it until now.

"Being engrossed in too much work is a thing?" she said to herself while narrowing down the reasons why she didn't have many friends. Aside from the fact that she didn't give any effort to make any, she still couldn't if she tried to.

After all, who would want to be friends with someone who only brings misfortune? That's what [name] believed in. It was her excuse, for the fear of losing people again consumed her long ago.

The entire house was quiet, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. She sipped the hot liquid from her cup, accidentally burning her lips and tongue in the process. She hissed, placing the cup on her table. That was when her wandering eyes laid upon the coat and gloves that sat on her table.

[name] recalled what Mikey said to her the other night. She fiddled with the hem of her shirt, trying to get all the pros and cons together.

Nonetheless, she couldn't shake the feeling that something bad would happen if she didn't go. It wasn't polite either to not return the coat and gloves the man had generously lent to her. [Name] then came to realize how he did not specify a date and time. A long and heavy sigh left her lips, making the final decision to check up on the park today. It wasn't like she had anything better to do.

On the other hand, across the city, Mikey sat on the chair in his office. It was filled with only the necessary things, unlike the others who decorated theirs with expensive trinkets and a few weapons. He felt somewhat embarrassed to not have mentioned when exactly they'd meet. Although, deep down he wanted to see her as soon as he could.

Mikey grabbed his warm coat that hung on the other end of the table, making his way through the guards and workers in a swift motion. He had no intention of informing them of his whereabouts, no matter how much others asked.

It wasn't like he could casually tell one of his subordinates to relay a message to the girl, informing her about a certain date and time then. That action would only raise suspicion, he did not want her to run away from him. Mikey figured out that [Name] hadn't recognized him despite the constant news of Bonten's behaviors that showed on TV from time to time.

Be that as it may, clear excitement is shown on both their faces. Well, Mikey had a bit of an expression that wasn't noticeable unless one would look closer. Which was an action he wouldn't allow. [Name] had a soft smile on her face as she packed the coat and gloves in a bag.

What odd feelings these two had for each other. Strangers from completely different worlds held completely different feelings. One was only interested in making a friend at last, while the other was slowly falling from the kindness of a stranger.

Exchanging names was just another step, intentionally meeting each other was the next. This growing relationship of theirs was nothing more than a mere coincidental event that took place under the umbrella.

Be that as it may, their feelings towards each other were like a spark to ignite a fire. Whether or not it'll be a peaceful campfire or a raging forest disaster. Alas, life has a story only time will tell.
