Yn's POV

Red. Red is all I see when I do the work I do. Especially if I am working with Oleg. For two days straight I've been killing. Two days straight without sleep and slim to no food. I haven't even spoken to Igor since he came to see me. I feel guilty. I leave him for days at a time then when I return I don't even go speak to him. But if I didn't do this for Oleg I wouldn't have met him in the first place so I must be somewhat grateful. But that doesn't mean I like him.

I push open the doors and drag the man by his hair. He struggles against my grip but I constantly keep his feet from ever lifting him up. I shove him to Oleg's feet. "Tell me why you were spying?" I pull his head up so he is looking directly at Oleg. My eyes scan him up and down. "He looks like a viking" "Viking?" Oleg looks closely at the man on the ground. "If you are a viking what are you doing in Kiev?" The man not only doesn't speak but spits at Oleg. I whack him in the head and he groans.

Oleg gestures me to move away from the man and I do. I stand next to Oleg before he raises his fist. "I will only talk to her" I freeze on the spot. Why would he want to talk to me of all people? Oleg turns to look at me but I just stare at the man on his knees. "You know this man?" I look to Oleg and regain my strength to be able to answer him. "I haven't seen him in all my years of living" Oleg walks up to me and leans into my ear. "Then why will he only speak with you?" "How should I know?"

"Take him to the cellar, lock him up and strip him of information, do you understand?" "Yes King Oleg" I make my way towards the man on the ground. I yank him by the hair and drag him down to the cellars. He keeps groaning in pain but I don't stop. Every step digs into his side before we get to the cellar. I throw him in before I chain him to the ceiling. And chain his feet to the floor. I step back and lean back against the wall.

I examine him from where I stand. "Why will you only talk to me? Why not king Oleg? What is it that you want from me?" He lifts his head up and makes direct eye contact with me. "My name is Asger and Bjorn Ironside is awaiting your arrival at the Kingdom of Kattegat" "I have heard of no place called Kattegat, I presume it's a viking village" He nods. " You know Ragnar's son's no?" I nod and he smiles. "Bjorn Ironside is now King of Kattegat" "King?" I break eye contact and scoff. "And why would the king suddenly want me to go to Kattegat?"

"You are the most known warrior in all the lands, why wouldn't anyone want you?" "I need specifics" "He only wants to speak with you" I let out a chuckle. "I am a very busy woman I have no time to speak with such a king" I stand in front of him and place both hands on my hips. "You know you'll never be returning back to Kattegat, right?" "I am not afraid of death, I knew by meeting you I would be signing my death sentence"

I look down at the man that has accepted his fate of death. I stand up straight our eyes never leaving each other's. "I had to see who you were before I would be sent to Valhalla" "I am not one to ridicule someone else's god but I've heard of your Valhalla and it sounds like pain" I grab his neck and start squeezing. "I hope for your sake you don't see hades" I rip out his throat and his blood runs down his body. I walk down the hallway and stop at a cage.

I crouch down to see two dogs. I throw Asger's throat in the cage and the dogs instantly fight each other for it. I stand back up and head back into the throne room. I stand in front of Oleg with my hands behind my back. "Any information?" "Only that his name was Asger and he comes from the village called Kattegat where Bjorn Ironside is currently ruling" I decided to save the information that Asger gave me for myself. Oleg is not one to be trusted. "Nothing more?" "Not unless you want to put his voice box back in his throat"

He smiles fakely at me. "Funny" I roll my eyes in attempt to dismiss the topic. "Hilarious, now may I go rest? I  have one more day with you before I go back to Wessex. King Alfred has a mission that he needs me to get done sooner rather than later" "Very well but I need you scouting tonight before you set sail at dawn" I nod and start heading towards the front door. "And Yn" I swing around and face him. "if you're lying to me I will kill you" I smile at his statement and he grows angry.

"No offence your highness but I would love to see you try, you may be a prophet but you and I both know that I can destroy you with my eyes closed so do not threaten me King Oleg, or you'll regret ever challenging me" I give him the most fakest smile. "Have a nice evening" I turn away from him with a smirk on my face.
