Yn's POV

I look out over the water as Ubbe sits beside me. "I don't think we got off on a good start" I stay silent and continues looking out to sea. "May I ask you something?" "If you must" "How many battles have you won?" I give him a side glance and scoff slightly. "482 not including the wars I've had to participate in" "How is that possible?" "I started my training as soon as I knew how to walk, which before you ask was when I was two" I feel his pity in the back of my head. "What about your parents?" I grit my teeth at the word 'parents'. "Irrelevant to our conversation" "where you from?" "Irrelevant"

He looks at me with curiosity in his eyes. Torvi walks over towards me and Ubbe. "Why is it you were working with the Christians?" "Everyone has to survive do they not?" I look back out over the sea. "It was a survival move?" "Yes" "why did you have to leave your home in the first place?" I avoid the question and look to see Kattegat. "We're here" I get my stuff together as the boat docks.

I step out of the boat only to be stared at by a buff blonde man not too far away. Both Torvi and Ubbe move past me and towards him so I decide to follow. "I am glad you had safe travels" "for the most part yes but Thorsten is dead" "By?" Torvi and Ubbe move aside as they reveal me. I smile mischievously. "Guilty as charged" Bjorn takes his time scanning me from head to toe with his eyes. "You killed my man?" "Without hesitation" "you must be Yn because no one is as stupid to kill one of my men except you"

I narrow my eyes at him. I could kill him in a heartbeat. But that wouldn't be wide on my part. I'm in a village I know nothing about with no one man boat around. "Follow me" I reluctantly follow him into his throne room. As I walk in I see a woman sitting on a throne. Bjorn heads to the throne beside her and sits down. "This is my wife Gunnhild" I bow my head and she just nods. "You must be Yn I've heard a lot about you" "Must be a lot if you had to risk another one of your men to come find me. He's dead if you were wondering"

"Join us" I look at Bjorn. He resembles so much like Ragnar. "No I won't work with vikings, you slaughter innocents which I never will have a part in" "How do you know that the people you slaughter are guilty?" I put my head down as I smile. I pull my head up and stare at Bjorn. "Because everyone I've killed were vikings" Bjorn flies off his seat and towards me. I grab out my pocket knife and hold it to his throat and he immediately stops. "How dare you say that about my brothers and sisters" "How dare I?" I burst out in laughter at the audacity he has to say that to me.

My blood starts boiling over. My anger rises and I grip the knife until my knuckles turn white. I quickly come to my senses and lower my weapon. I bow my head and keep my eyes glued to the floor. He takes a step back "you will work with the Christians but us why?" As I pull my head up he walks back over to his throne. "I do not intend to be a warrior all my life King Bjorn, I have dreams I wish to come true one day and by working with the Christians they can make my dreams happen" "so could we" I shake my head quickly. "I will never ask for a vikings help for as long as I live"

I stand up straight and place the knife in its holster. "Now if that's all for the interrogation you have put me through I would like to make my way back to Wessex" "How about you stay the night, have a drink" "I'm not tired" Gunnhild stands up and starts walking towards me. "Please" "no now  step back" Out of the corner of my eye I see Bjorn tense up. My eyes glide back to Gunnhild and I whisper. "Or you'll be next to go" "we are going to host a feast for you, our guest. A guest we're pleased to have"

"You're manipulating me and I will not be manipulated in staying by some worthless vikings that need my help" "How did you-" "Oh please cut it out, you asked me here because you needed to use me like everyone else does. You don't actually want to know me" I roll my eyes and start walking out. As I get to the door someone says my name. "Yn" At that moment my mind goes blank. I stay as still as a statue. I pull an emotionless expression before turning around. "Yes who's asking?" "You're really gonna do that?" My eye starts twitching agressively.

"You should be dead right about now, Lagertha" I visibly see out of the corner of my eye the red tinge on Bjorn's face as I insult his mother. "Good you're angry at me, at least you're not heartless" "I don't want to speak with such a worthless viking" "I am your mother!" That was it. I saw Red. Before I knew it my hand reached for my knife and I through it right at Lagertha. It sticks into her arm. Everyone stands up ready for attack before Lagertha settles them. "I'm fine" "my mother is dead as well as my father. You left me to die that day so that is exactly what I did!"

So much anger courses through my veins that I barely notice my nails digging into the palms of my hands. "I had no choice Yn, if I knew what you would become I would have taken you with me regardless of the consequences" "But. You. Didn't." By to her surprise I walk up to her only to pull my knife out of her arm. "Bjorn I will not help you or your pathetic mother in the battle you are to face" Torvi comes storming at me but I hold my knife up to her neck. She takes the risk and fights me. She attempts to grab my knife but as I drag it away I slice her hand.

She swings her axe and it slices my side but I don't show that it affected me. I get low and sweep her off her feet. She goes flying to the ground and I stomp on her neck not gently but not enough to kill her instantly. "Yn that's enough, let her go" my eyes stay in her and I lean down. "Don't ever try that again or you won't make it to see your future but just so I know you can hear me clearly" I stab her shoulder and she groans. I move away from her and slip my knife back into its holster with  blood still on it. "Thank you for bringing me here your highness but now I am not welcome and I must go" "you're-" I glare at Bjorn. "I was talking to the Queen not you" I look to Gunnhild. "I hope we can meet under different circumstances Queen Gunnhild and I have only one thing to ask"

"If you insist on leaving I shall help you get back in one piece" "I need one of Floki's one man boats" "He's gone" my head snaps at Ubbe. "gone?" "Gone as in not here not that he's dead" I sigh a relief. I had roughly come in contact with Floki multiple times after my battles. "Floki only made a handful of his boats and he has the last one" "Then I'll travel by foot" I start heading out but once again I'm stopped. "You could stay I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind" "King Alfred-" "Would understand" But Igor wouldn't.

I close my eyes and sigh. I turn and look at them all staring at me. "I have one day to spare" "That's fine and if you enjoy yourself tonight you'll help us?" "And if I don't? Which is most likely" "Then I'll personally take you back to King Alfred and you can just go back to being a weapon to him" I grit my teeth before answering. "Deal be prepared to lose" "You should as well" I stare through her. "I never lose because if I did I'd be dead, now where shall I stay?" "Follow me"
