Yn's POV

I cover Aethelwulf's eyes as we get to the entrance of the village. "You ready?" "Yea" I remove my hands and he takes a good look at the village. Children run from here to their and Laughter fills the air. I see his face light up as the butterflies flutter around him. "Welcome to the family Aethelwulf" His goofy smile spread from ear to ear. He hugs me so tight. I see from the corner of my eye that my children come running over to greet me. I hug Aethelwulf tight before pulling him away and facing him to my children.

"Aethelwulf I want you to meet my son's, Stephen and Jayr, boys say hi to Aethelwulf he'll be staying here from now on" Jayr just waves at him. He's mostly shy with other people. He has chocolate brown But Stephen has golden brown hair he is also the energetic one and loves to meet newcomer's. "Hey I'm Stephen that's Jayr, welcome come on let's play" "Hey wait I want him to meet your sister" the boys move aside reveal my little girl. She looks just like her father with those beautiful blue eyes. She did inherit the one working leg gene but that doesn't stop her from doing everything her brothers do.

"Sweetie this is Aethelwulf, Aethelwulf meet my daughter" He smiles at her as she stops in front of him. "hi I'm Evridiki but everyone calls me Diki for short" A blush forms on his face and he is at a loss for words. "Why don't you guys go play okay?" They all nod. "Wait where's your father?" "In the hut!" "Thanks Stephen!" I watch as Evridiki walks away but trips. I start to go for her but Aethelwulf catches her in time. She smiles at him gratefully and he helps her walk all the way to the jungle I created.

"I bet she'll get her first kiss before you" I roll my eyes. "Of course she will she's smart and beautiful" "and I wonder where she gets it from" "Aphrodite" I smile as he playfully hits me. "She gets it from you, you're still beautiful even with age" "you good to do these?" I motion to all the bags on the ground he nods. I pat him on the back before making my way through the village. Children run past me and laughter comes from the villagers. I make it to my home and walk in. "Hey stranger" He spins around and hugs me. "Hey you're back how was it?" I look at Ivar with a sad look. "I found Judith dead on the floor but I did find Aethelwulf he's with the children"

Ivar pulls me close and hugs me. "I'm sorry yn" "I'm okay I'm just glad Aethelwulf is okay" he kisses me and I smile into the kiss. I lay down and Ivar lays in between my legs. He starts kissing my stomach. "It's gonna be another boy" "no way Ivar it's gonna be a girl" "either way going to be born in the most safest place ever" I run my fingers through Ivar's hair. As I do the baby kicks. Ivar's eyes grow wide as it's the first time he felt the baby kicks. He jumps up and runs outside. "THE BABY JUST KICKED!" the four children come running into the house.

Their words jumble together and I put my hand up to silence them. "You can all place your hand on my stomach" they all do that, even Ivar. And they wait for the next kick in silence. The baby kicks and everyone gets excited. They start talking amongst themselves and I just zone out. I look at all their smiles. This is what I always wanted and I finally got it. I finally had the life I always dreamed about. The children I wanted and the husband that loved me despite my gods being different and the scars on my face. I see Igor poke his head in and run in trying to feel the kick of the baby. It kicks and he too gets excited. This right here is family. And they always will be my family.
