Yn's POV

That winter went by faster then others. Maybe because Igor was there and with his humour I've been able to laugh. We've trained together everyday over the winter. Igor has said I've gotten stronger than I once was but I don't feel it. It hasn't been all training though, some days we would sit and hang out. A good mixture of both that not only I needed but Igor needed. Bjorn has talked to me occasionally about his plans but Gunnhild has kept her distance as well as Ubbe and Torvi. Which I don't mind. The less drama before the war is better for me to concentrate and get in the head space of a killer. Lagertha on the other hand has been trying to speak to me. I don't know why I've held it against her maybe I do blame her for how I've turned out. I have two minds on the situation and now is not the time to fight with her. She clearly had other ideas.

A familiar figure sits beside me on the dock. "you like it here and I see why" "this isn't our meeting spot Lagertha so it confuses me on how you find me here almost Everytime I sit here" "Because I want to talk" I shake my head and decided to just listen to her. "Fine speak but I won't guarantee that I will listen" she stays silent. I look at her and cock my head. "now you have nothing to say" "why would I waste my breath on someone who won't even listen to me. How long has it been since then? It's not only unfair it's cruel" I laugh and look out at the water as the moon glistens on it. "No cruel is leaving a child on the battlefield only to have her being captured by a man who had made her life worse then it already was"

I stand up and she grabs my hand with much force. "You walk away from me and I won't try anymore. I'm done with trying with you so you either stay and we work this out or I'm done with you" and there is was. The one thing I wanted her to say, I thought I knew the answer. But I didn't. Another dilemma I had to deal with. I wasn't going to be made a fool not this close to war. I lean down and brush her hair out of the way revealing her ear. I lean my lips right next to her ear. "You left me once, I won't let you leave me again because you know why?" She stays silent as a tear rolls down her cheek. "Because I learnt a hard lesson that day and it hurt me more than it should have. So I will walk away and I hope you will keep your word" I straighten up and walk away from her.

As I walk into the great hall Igor runs at me. I open my arms and give him a hug. "You doing okay?" "Yea I kinda miss Oleg though" I chuckle. "I sure don't" He laughs slightly. "Have you eaten?" He nods his head. "Then let's start heading to bed" we make our way towards our bed avoiding all vikings in our path. I lay him in bed. "You remember what I taught you?" "Yes I know" "Igor war could happen any day now that winter is over. It's no times for joke when it comes to war" He nods his head in agreement. I kiss his forehead before standing up. "What if something happens to you? What would I do?" "I have a back up plan and I assure you that whatever happens you go back to Kiev at all costs"

He nods once more. "Get some rest, I'll be at our training spot okay?" "Okay" I kiss him on the forehead before going out. As I do Bjorn catches up to me. "You've been avoiding everyone" "I have a reason to" I try and shake him off by walking faster but he stops in front of me. "Yn just listen-" "no I won't listen I am here for one reason and that is to win this stupid war for you" "And I'm grateful that you're here because now at least we have a shot" I roll my eyes and try and push past him but he catches my arm. "I didn't like what I did to you but-" "but a king must do what no ordinary person can't do" I look him straight in the eyes. "If we were ever friends you wouldn't have done that to me, but you did it"

I push past him and to the training grounds. But he just doesn't give up. He follows me and as I go to yell at him he pins me up against a tree. "Bjorn" He presses himself close to me. I calm my breathing and look him in the eyes. His hand squeezes the top of my thigh. "I didn't want to do it to you" it was more a confession this time and not just saying it. His hands rides up my body sending electricity coursing through my veins. I am in complete shock. No one has touched me in such a way before. A way to make me speechless. He must notice my sense of confusion because a small smile spreads across his face. "Does it feel alright?" I gulp hard and say nothing.

His hand raises up the side of my stomach and I push him away. I hadn't noticed but my breath had become quicker. I felt as if he could see right through my clothing. I felt vulnerable, weak. At time like this I can not afford to be weak. "You have a wife Bjorn Ironside. What do you want with me?" He walks back up to me but I place my hand on his chest. His eyes flicker from my eyes to my lips and back again. He moves my hand away and leans into my ear and whispers. "I want to see how you taste" He starts spreading my legs apart. "How you feel around me" His hand soon cups my heat and I let out a gasp. "I want to hear your voice scream for me" with that he pulls away and walks off.

I snap myself out of it. I shake my hands and get rid of the events that have just occured. I grab my swords out of my holsters and start my training.
