chapter 9 : month 3

Darren's pov :

Waking up tired, fuck.

Regie left for work early today because there had been road blocks all week.

I threw up about 5 time, just this morning.

It's 5 minutes until Regie's lunch and I wanted to surprise him at work.

I made chilli chicken sandwiches and cream soda shakes.

As I pull into the parking way of Regie's work, a little bit late but I get in.

I walk towards the entrance.

"hi Josh" I say, he and Regie have been friends and coworkers since forever.

"hi Darren" he tells me.

"can you tell Regie, I'm here I brought lunch"i tell him.

He rubs his head, and shakes his head.

"well Regie's not here, he went on lunch early, actually he's been going on lunch early" he tells me.

"This is the first time I hear about this" I tell him.

"yea him and Aliya started going to lunch early and leaving earlier this week" he tells me.

"Aliya?" I ask.

"who's that?" I ask again.

"one of our new coworkers, apparently she and Regie went to highschool together" he asks.
