The Day The World Changed

Y/N POV

I was awoken by a ray of sunshine bursting through my window, the suns rays shining on my face and waking me up.
"Dear lord I hate the sun." I thought to myself as I sat up, taking a sip of my water at the side of my bed, I started stretching getting ready for the day ahead I got out of bed and twisted my arms from side to side, to properly stretch them out, I walked over to my closet and looked for something to wear, I had finally chosen what I would wear, I chose the basic blue shirt with black pants. I walked out of my room and downstairs where my mother was making breakfast,
"Good Morning my love, How'd you sleep?" My mother asked placing down my plate of food.
"Fine, thanks Mom." I replied sitting down and grabbing my food.
"Where's dad?" I asked noticing his absence.
"Your father left for work early today." She responded.
"Ah, okay." I said eating my breakfast.
It was a normal day as per usual wake up go to school and go home.
Time skip to the afternoon,
I was outside enjoying the afternoon sun reading a book when an MP walked by.
"Good afternoon Y/N." He said to me,
"Afternoon Mr Lowston." I said looking up from my book.
"How is school going, I heard you got a new teacher."
"Schools fine, the same as always. The new teacher Mrs Crawford, she's a bum, she gives so much homework and she SO strict, she's no fun."
"Haha, I hate to break it to you but that's how the real world works, strict boss a lot of work, it's all apart of growing up."
"Growing up sucks, I'm not growing up ever." I said crossing my arms and looking away.
"Haha! Ahh me too kid,  I wish I could've stayed a kid too."
"Where's your dad, Y/N? He's usually with you when ever your in the park?" Lowsten asked.
"I don't know, he's usually home by now but I guess he's bus-" I said before being cut off.
"Oh my god." Lowsten whispered.
I looked over at the shadow covering the wall.
"It'- Its huge." I looked in shock
"That things taller than... than the wall?!" I thought in panic.
*TTTTHHHHHOOOOOMMMM*
Large pieces of debris and rock started flying everywhere. I dropped my book in pure terror.
"Y/N, move!" Lowsten yelled grabbing me and moving out of park which was hit by a boulder a few seconds later.
"Are- Are those T-Titans?!" I asked pointing at the 15 meter creatures that were beginning to get inside.
"We need to get you and your mom out of here and somewhere safe!" Lowsten yelled at me,
"Where do you live?" He asked
I looked around to see my house was destroyed by debris. Tears start to flow down my eyes as I point to the destroyed house.
"Oh god no..." Lowsten said putting his hand to his forehead.
"Listen... we... can't dwell on this, we need to get you to safety it's what your mother would've wanted." He said a tear rolling down his eye.
"But-But what if she's still alive?!" I asked full on crying now.
"Y/N, no one could have survived something like that falling face first into their home. We have have to go!" Lowsten yelled noticing that one of the titans had seen us and began making its way towards us.
Lowsten grabbed me shoved me over his shoulder and ran for the wall.
All around me I saw people being eaten, left, right and centre, so much pain on peoples faces, blood everywhere people running to safety, it didn't feel real.
Lowsten eventually got me to the wall he got through quicker since he was an MP,
"GET THIS BOY ON THAT BOAT!!" He yelled passing me to one of the soldiers, he nodded and put me on the boat.
I looked back at Lowsten who nodded at me and gave me a small wave before the ship got moving.
From all the commotion and my adrenaline running wild I passed out on the boat

A few hours later I came too, I was still in the boat.
"Where at I?" I thought before a flood of memories flew back into my mind and I started crying again.
"I never got to say goodbye to her." I thought.
"One day, I'll get my revenge." I said anger starting to burn.
The boat had arrived at the nearest district and everyone was sent off the boat.
They had given us barely enough food and water to survive. I sat on the cold concrete floor crying.
"Hey, are you okay?" A boy asked. He was tall with black hair.
"No... I just lost everything, my mom just died. I-I miss my mom." I said starting to cry more.
"I'm sorry about your mom, is there anything I can do?" He asked
"No." I responded.
"Okay... well if it makes you feel better, you can come and sit with me and my friends." He offered me.
"Sure... thanks."
He showed me towards his friends, it was a guy and a girl.
"I'm bertholdt by the way." Bertholdt told me.
"Y/N." I responded.
"That's Reiner." He said pointing towards the blonde guy. He was tall but not as tall as Bertholdt but he was built well, like a body builder, with short hair.
The other was a girl she was quite a bit shorter than me, and I was pretty short for my age, her hair was tied into a bun with the right side of her fringe hanging free, she was really cute, although she constantly looked unamused.

ANNIE POV
So bertholdt and Reiner are making friends now, have they already forgotten about our mission? I guess they're trying to blend in, I'll give it to them, he is pretty cute.

Y/N POV
"So, what's your name?" The girl Asked me.
"Y/N." I answered.
"You don't have a last name?" She asked
"Ackerman" I responded.
"What's yours?" I asked
"Annie... Annie Leonhart."

Hey sorry for the short chapter, I promise they'll get longer it's just difficult to write a full 2000-5000 word chapter when chapter 1 is usually the slowest. I'll be updating chapter two soon,
