While You Were Away

I woke up on Saturday morning for my patrol. I got out of bed and went straight to the shower. Jason was still fast asleep as he had today off.

I walked out grabbing my note for the day. "Y/N Ackerman & Arthur Sanford north quadrant A4 patrol." The note said. "Who the hell is Arthur?" I wondered. I made my way to North Quadrant A4 like the note said and it was a school zone. It looked like middle schoolers no less. They waved at me, and I waved back with a smile. I looked around for a bit until I saw a comically large shadow behind me. "Are you Y/N Ackerman?" The shadow asked. I turned around only to see the biggest man I've ever seen in my life. If I didn't know better, I'd have thought there was a new titan class. "Uh yeah? You Arthur?" I asked pretty intimidated by his size. "What's up dude? I heard about what happened with you a few days ago, you okay?" He asked completely contradicting the intimidating nature he brought on from his size. "Uh, yeah I'm fine, I hit my face, but other than that I'm fine.... Thanks for asking, I guess" I said. "Personally I could never, how are you so brave?" He asked. "I wouldn't say I am... I just got lucky that I got out... hey... can we do our job? You can grill me more later." I said. "Ooh, uh yeah sure. Sorry." He said putting his hand out for me to shake. I shook his hand and we walked around for a while making sure everything was okay.

Annie POV
Last Night.

"These were the plans given to us. I've drawn you a copy. Here's where they're keeping Eren."he explained. "And what's this guys name? Levi? Where will he be?" I asked. I believe he'll be in the centre. Avoid that place at all costs, if he and his team see you, you're dead. Try calling any wondering titans around the south east and south west regions." He tried to explain to me. "You said they send flares up if they see titans? Explain what each one means again?" I asked.
"The only ones you need to worry about are Red- which means they found an ordinary titan. Black- which means abnormal but they'll most likely use that one if they see you and Green means the formation is changing." He explained. "If Eren is in the front right flank, then why not just send all my titans and just hang back, then grab him when they're all dead?" I asked. "Because they'll definitely be back up somewhat further back. I still say coming in from the back right flank, the sending your titans to each squadron individually at different times makes it more believable that this is a mindless attack." He explained. "What's the distance between in squadron?" I asked. "Between 150 to 200 meters." He explained.
"I'll stick to your plan." I said getting ready to leave. "I'll see you tomorrow, and hopefully we'll be able to leave soon. And by the way. It was good idea to kill those two titans the scouts captured." He explained. I nodded and went on my way.

Current Day
The scouts were to leave wall Rose at 8:00 am sharp, or so I'm told if I leave at 8:20 giving them enough time to move away and for the titans I collected to move into position, it'll make this look less coordinated.

I ran for about 30 minutes before coming across the first squadron. They saw me as an abnormal and shot up a black flare as Reiner believed they would, and proceeded to attack me. I didn't want to kill them, but they forced my hand, this bloodshed ends with this mission. I went over to the next squadron and the same damn cycle repeated itself. I finally made it to the front squadron and the same thing happened again. They attacked me and i defended myself. I saw someone with a masked hood and I went to see who it was. It was Armin. There was no need to kill him. So I left him, but no Eren, "did Reiner lie to me? Or were the plans different." I realised. I started running again, with no where else to go, I just hope Reiner finds me before I run out of time, and hopefully he'll realise and somehow direct me. After running for some more time, three horses were around me. I readied myself but still running for what was about to happen. I heard someone yell something incoherent but I recognised the voice and turned around to see Reiner coming to me at a slightly slower pace. I grabbed him to make it look like I was crushing him. He managed to carve something in the palm of my hand with what felt to be too small to be the normal blades. A few seconds later he cut his way out, carefully not hitting my palm. I looked at my palm and saw the words "By Levi." Carved in it. "Shit." I thought to myself now running towards the centre. "Remember Annie, they're more scared of you, than you are of them."
