Troops had been gathered that day, each passing one by one as the higher ups strategised and planned how to get rid of the terrorist. The land was simply barren and holes were made to the ground by the nuclear weapons created by bigger countries, the people in china didn't survive the hit and only few remained in refuge camps.

Children were heard crying and the elders in woe as children and husbands and wives had died due to the ongoing war they'd gone through. The special units were named, 'The Knights' due to their utter loyalty to the government and its people. Xiao Ai was part of that unit and also the best of all of them, their general as a matter of fact.

"Oi Xiao Ai! Wanna grab a lunch with us?" Fu Zhen asked her that day, but she simply shook her head and walked away. "Ugh! Fu Zhen we told you already! Why did you even bother with her when you know she's going to reject it anyway!?" Xiao Baobao smacked her mate, he simply rubbed the bruise and whined, "It's just I wanted to lighten up the mood!"

"You know how serious she gets during these situations! Be careful with what you say to the Boss!" She pulled him by the ear getting more than enough of a scolding, Xiao Ai looked out at the sky that turned grey. Grey. That's all she ever saw, a grey sky, the elders talked to her about the night sky with stars and that they always had eyes. They watched over the people, but why?

if the stars had eyes and watched over humanity why didn't it help them? Watching is also a crime. Her short brown hair that reached only her neck and small slender figure that helped her move quickly on the field. A sniper, an assasin and a spy, all those jobs she did and she would do. She had nobody waiting for her so she put herself to use on the battlefield.

"Xiao Ai, don't worry too much, we'll be able to win." The whispers of the people told her but she felt something would go wrong, she never felt such a way, she didn't understand why she felt like that now. She cocked her gun and put it back in her casket.

"just in case..." She mumbled walking back to her tent and slept with her uniform on like always, she never fell asleep but never stayed awake either. [To kill and obey is my job. That's all I must do until I lose my life. That is my only use.] she thought as she closed her eyes and comfortably slept.

BANG! KACHING!

!!!

Xiao Ai got up from her bed and slyly stuck out her pistol getting herself into position, hiding behind the curtain tent. [Two people, around the age of 40, they seem to have a good build and the way they're sneaking up means that they're not professionals. They're not trying to hide their presence, they're either unskilled or trying to be obvious.] She peered out and took out another pistol in her left hand cocking it out and pointing it at the neck of both people.

"Woah! Woah! Xiao Ai it's just me!" The Sergeant in her squad shot his hands up, she didn't flinch or move. [He's up to something.]

"Xiao Ai?"

She didn't put down her pistols as she had a bad feeling, but in the end her gut feeling was right. 15 more men and women came towards her, they didn't have small slanted almond like eyes like her but big round blue eyes and blonde hair. "Fu Zhen, what is this?" Xiao Baobao came out in surprise, and in pijamas with unicorns around it. She hid behind Xiao Ai and snickered, "Xiao Baobao."

"Yes, Jiejie?"

"Aren't you going to join them?" She coldly repeated, Baobao flinched and smirked shrugging her shoulders, "I guess we can't hide anything from you," She grinned sticking out a peace sign, clinging onto Fu Zhen.

"Jiejie, you might as well just give up, I mean, we have you surrounded, you couldn't beat us even in a billion yea--"

BANG!

[The first is down, 16 more to go.] She'd shot down her mate and went on with 15, 14, then 13 were left, all of them panted tired of the fight. But she hadn't broken a sweat.

[That one. He's heavy and takes longer to move, his movements take too long so he'd an easier target. The next one. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 3, 1.] She'd gotten rid of almost all of them, except for one.

"You don't seem to have any loyalty to anybody." She told her, Xiao Ai simply stared and triggered the pistol but nothing came out, she threw them out and took out a small knife.

"Wow! You have almost everything on you! You're so prepared!~" The women smiled innocently, "Alright, you know what? I'll give up! You're too strong for me." She dropped her sniper and the rest of her weapons surrendering.

Xiao Ai stared and looked down for half a second until it was all over. "Haha!~ you should've been more cautious if you held your life dear, what a pity it's come to this, we could've been friends." She beamed a smile.

[Ah...is this the taste of death? Why does it feel so nice and refreshing? if I'd known this earlier I would've let myself get killed earlier on. it's kinda lonely though...]

THUMP!

She felt her heavy body fall on the ground as she squinted and tried hard to see the tiny girl that had brought her down, "Y-you're right. We could've been friends..." She mumbled, as she let go of her strength and left the world silently.

No one knew of her and wouldn't know of her, because her existence was merely that of a speck of dust. Someone to care for? She had none. An icy glaze heart that tried hard to survive, that was all she knew to do.

"Hello, Are you there? Girl, are you ok? Call the royal doctor! Get somebody to attend her!" A small childish voice shouted, Xiao Ai felt as if the voice would break like thread does. [Where am I..?]

"Princess Venus, Please stay away from the peasant! You might get a disease!" A woman in a maid outfit shouted, [Princess? peasant? Did the royal family already destroy our land? I have to...] Everything went black as she could no longer come to.

"How dare you touch me! Do not give me orders! I am your Princess and thus of the royal family, thou shall not tell me what to do! Leave at once! Don't dare to come in until you bring me the doctor!" She commanded with her small tiny voice.

[This girl saved me...it's only right I repay her back.] She stared at the unconscious whitenette girl with an apathetic gaze, worried she waited anxiously for the doctor. Little did she know, that small peasant would be the one to save her life.

"Princess! I'm here!" The doctor rushed in.
