Sitting on a table in the school library a girl dressed in the school's highschool uniform with her own black sweater vest and butterfly broach where the V neck of the vest came to its point. It was a simple change to the design but enough for her to call it her own. She also sported long black braids, two to be exact. Ones that hung low at either side of her as she watched the quiet room of the library. On her face she wore black framed glasses, ones with big circular rims around the lenses.

She had grown tired of people phasing through her in the halls and failing time and time again to try and get people to see her.

She tried calling out to people, no luck. She tried hiding their things, they blamed it on the mokke. She tried throwing things at people, now that got a reaction, but it could have been anyone who'd thrown something so they often shrugged it off in minor annoyance. Still nothing.

She just wanted one person to see her, one person to say her name. In their Defense it wasn't the most simple name, she was known as nothing and no one of any importance. Even some stupid love tree was more recognizable then her. A rather forgettable person which seemed to be wiped from the minds of anyone who knew her after she died so suddenly.

"It's pointless." she mumbled "I'm doomed to fade away, maybe I should just accept it" she said and hopped down from her spot on the desk and started on her way to explore the hallways for the tenth time today.

The truth was she had been in this school for a little while now. She met a few different ghosts, such as the Mokke and some pink haired boy in the school mirrors.

Ok that's not very many but it counts!

Suddenly she hears the sound of footsteps coming this way. Was it that black and silver haired teacher again? she swore he looked directly at her at times, could he see ghosts? It didn't matter, he was kinda scary. She'd usually hide and watch him from afar anyhow. He was the one person she wasn't sure she wanted to be seen by. Usually she was all about trying to get noticed but there was just something about that man...

Lucky for the ghost girl, it was not him at all. It was a short girl, a living student. She wore the highschool uniform with her own skull broach on her chest. She also had small black horn-looking accessories and pretty pink and yellow mixed eyes. Her hair was long and flowing starting off platinum blonde and fading into a light green.

And man did she have some odd ankles, look at the size of em! They were chunky!

This girl ran right past the ghost to the place she had just been sitting. She started rummaging around the desk moving around its contents as if in search of something. What was she looking for?

"Come on- it's gotta be here somewhere!" She complained "No! I can't lose that book, it belongs to the school. Do they charge you if you lose their stuff..? I hope not..." she fretted.

Aw how sad. Maybe she could help. She didn't know what kind of book she was looking for but it seemed to be something recently checked out and sitting right over there. She thought she knew of something that fit that description. The ghost pulled a book off of the floor under one of the surrounding desks and walked over to the strange new girl with it. It was a book about a legend. Something about a Hanako-san, what a pretty name that was. She reached up slightly seeing as this girl was taller then her and lightly hit her in the back of the head with the book's spine.

"Bonk," she said adding her own sound effects "be scared girl, there's a floating book, see?" She said knowing that's how it would appear to her. The girl flinched and turned around. "Ah! That's it!" She said and happily grabbed the book.

What? No screaming, no fainting, no nothing?

Stranger still this girl looked her dead in the eyes, okay now she was a little scared.

The girl politely took the book from her and nodded a thank you "Thanks little library spirit. I thought I was doomed there." She said with a small smile.

"Huh? You can see me? Like actually see me?!" The dead girl said amazed and looked behind her just to make sure there was no mistake. Nope, it was just them. "Yeah of corse. You look new though so I see why you're confused." She smiled "My name's Nene Yashiro and I'm the seventh wonder's assistant. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?" She introduced herself

"My name?" The small apparition echoed. Someone cared to know her name! She was so excited she could just jump for joy. Finally a chance to be noticed by a living person, she wouldn't be forgotten after all.

"Nice to meet you Nene-sama! I'm new here, that much is true- and until now no one's really wanted to speak to me. Ooh you can't begin to imagine how happy this makes me! I hope we can be great friends! I'll finally have a friend!" The ghost girl cheered and bounced on her feet a little while clasping her hands together.

Nene laughed a little "I'm glad I was able to make your day, but uh, your name? What should I call you?" She repeated the question and immediately the ghost stopped bouncing and became embarrassed. She'd completely forgotten to mention it.

She straightened up and lightly pounded herself on the side of her head with her fist "Ah! Right, Sorry. My name's pretty simple, er I think so at least, it's..."

(Hello dear reader, thanks for reading this fanfic I made. I just got really into this anime after watching it and decided to write my own version of it. I do apologize for the sort of cliffhanger/ abrupt ending but if I see people are reading this first chapter I will make a new one to make up for it.

Edit: I didn't like how one part was worded so I changed it. Maybe it made it better? I dunno-)
