Hanako was floating through the school halls. He phased through the students returning to their classes from lunch. "Go find her and make up!" Nene and Kou's words rang nice and clear in his head.

He knew it was the right thing to do so he swallowed his pride and some of his stubbornness and went to find her. He knew there wouldn't be a repeat of last time, it wasn't like she could die a second time. Well unless Tsukasa decided to try and turn another one of Kou's friends into doughnuts...

Sure he liked doughnuts but not the kind he had to stab to stop them from killing their former friends.

With that memory in mind he picked up the pace. He checked the places she usually visited.

He checked his bathroom, she wasn't there.

He checked the library, she wasn't there.

He checked the Misaki Stairs, she wasn't there.

He checked Tsuchigomori's classroom, the roof, the garden, even the library, she wasn't there!

Not just that, but there were no new drawings on the walls of the school. No stolen objects being used for reference, and no abnormally cold classrooms to show her presence.

Everything was room temperature for once.

Hanako, now in the halls once more, checking the library a second time, found some Mokke. They were hiding candy in the library's bookshelf like squirrels preparing for winter.

A little odd but he wasn't there to question this. "Hey, Mokke? Have you seen the little library ghost around lately?" He asked

"The spider man?" One squeaked "He's downstairs!" Another chimed in

Hanako shook his head impatiently "No- the other one. She wears the winter uniform, she had glasses that were a little frosty on the edges, she wore this butterfly broach on her bow..." he listed off her more defining traits

"Ooh- her!" One Mokke seemed to under at least "I dunno!" It replied "She's not around the school." Another chimed in once more.

"Well this was no help. Thanks anyway." He said, disappointed, and floated away.

Once he was gone the Mokke focused on their candy storage once more. They finished cramming them in all of the nooks and crannies of the shelf. They seemed proud of themselves and started to hop away in a single file line to somewhere else in the school.

None of them were aware of the carpeted floor of the library suddenly having a puddle form on it. The puddle started small but rapidly grew in size, soaking the floor and trailing after the little Mokke as they hopped.

The dark, murky water soon reached the Mokke in the back of the line and by the time it got that close a tall white and light blue sail breached the surface of the mysterious water. It was made up of five long spikes with webbing in between them. Kind of like a bat's wing but this sail was white as snow. It's webbing that was torn in some spots was studded with a pointy pale blue snowflake pattern and the tips of its spikes that the webbing was attached to had jagged ice spikes on the tips of them. So razor sharp just grazing them could cut you.

The eerie sail followed the Mokke like the dorsal fin of a Great White in the ocean, and much like one it soon went under the surface. Finally the mokke in the back felt a chill and noticed something was off. It turned only to see the murky water that had trailed towards it.

"Huh..?" The Mokke was confused. It didn't remember spilling anything this big on the ground.

Before it could shrug this off and walk away a sudden arm dripping wet with the dirty water reach up and grabbed it by the face. The jagged daggers for nails on the tips of its boney, lanky webbed fingers dug into its fuzzy body chilling it to the bone. It felt as though it was freezing!

So much so that it was much too stiff to turn and call out to its friends for help.

The arm as quickly as it came left with the Mokke. Dragging it into the murky depths of the puddle. Farther and farther down the bunny like supernatural went into the suffocating darkness. It's friends wouldn't realize it was gone for a while.

And even if they had, the long puddle had frozen over once the Mokke was dragged under. It was gone.

"Lord Seven, for the last time. If your friends disappear into thin air; I probably don't know how to get them back." Tsuchigomori stated and took another puff of his pipe.

"But Tsuchigomoriii...." Hanako said, mainly as a whine since he was a bit upset he wasn't getting anywhere.

"Whining isn't going to get you anywhere." Yako interjected from her spot atop a shelf by Tsuchigomori's desk. Both boys looked at her when she spoke. "Look, if you teased me for such a thing I'd probably be a little mad too." She informed "Why don't you just give her some space? She's your friend right? She's bound to come back."

"I guess that's true." Hanako decided "alright then. I guess I'll wait."

After leaving Yako and Tsuchigomori Hanako went back to his bathroom. He figured if there was one place people would go to look for him it was here. So the toilets was his go to hang out spot for now.

It was after school so Kou and Nene had gone home a while ago by now. Things got a bit boring with them gone. Normally he'd go make his rounds in the school checking on things, making sure no supernaturals were trying to kill students and what not, but he'd already done that and things were oddly calm today so there was nothing really to do except stare out the window.

Man it was a bit chilly in here. It was that time of the school year where summer was ending officially and moving into fall but it shouldn't be this chilly in here.

And even then why was he even cold- he was a ghost for goodness sake!

He was about to shrug it off but a pale arm with long, lanky webbed fingers attached to their frigid boney hand reached up and grasped Hanako's ankle. His body immediately went ridged and he felt so cold he began to shake and shiver while a thin layer of frost spread across his captured leg.

'What is this..?' He thought in fear.

He was practically frozen, his muscles were so tense he couldn't reach for his knife like he wanted to. The only movements his body seemed to have no trouble making was constant shivering.

Straining a bit, he was able to move his head enough to see the ugly hand that seized him. He realized he couldn't get out of this by himself so he spoke to his Hakujoudai.

"Go... g-get help." He said through a chattering jaw and soon the other leg was caught by another freezing webbed hand and suddenly he was pulled down into an ice cold puddle he hadn't even noticed had formed at his feet. Once he disappeared under the floor the Hakujoudai were left alone.

Unable to do anything else, the two wisps obeyed their orders and flew off to get help from the ones they thought their master would go to
