Time had passed. Well not much, but time had passed.
"Akaibara-chan? Where'd you go?" The ghost with the braids looked over her shoulder to see Nene. "Yashiro!" She cheered dropping her pencil and abandoning her drawing to skip up to her and hug her tightly. "Hi!" She says after letting go.
"Woah you're awfully excited, it's only been what? Thirty minutes?" Yashiro commented, she was smiling though. Obviously happy about seeing her too.
"Yeah I know, but it's not that I'm happy about, look." She said and pointed to the wall she was just by with the pencil. On the wall she had scribbled a well-drawn doodle of Yashiro, Hanako, and Kou. All together running from a giant pair of scissors. Hanako looked as though he was having fun in the pictures while Nene and Kou looked terrified.
"I drew it from the story you told me, the one about the Misaki Stares. Does it look okay? I tried to remember it as accurately as possible." Akaibara explained. Nene gave a nervous laugh and nodded "yup exactly right, that place was so scary I really thought I was gonna die." She said and cupped a cheek in her hand.
Then she shook her head "but everything's fine now of course, we made up a new rumor for Yako and she's sane again. She hates it but it's much better then turning everyone to dolls" she mentioned
"Yeah," Akai agreed "it's strange how a few simple words can change a person so much."
"Oh Akai-chan, you know people are starting to see your drawings all over the school. Mainly the ones of me and Kou, no one's sure who drew them so their blaming it on a mystery kid. It looks like you've made a rumor for yourself you know." She mentioned
Akaibara was mildly shocked "Woah really? My own ghost story? That's cool." She said calmly but her excitement shined through unmistakably. She had balled up her fists in a happy manor and brought them to her chest, they were shaking momentarily with the excitement she had tried to suppress before dropping back down "Now if only I was this loved when I was alive. But that's asking for too much I guess." She shrugged
"Nene-Chan! Who are you talking to?" Another female voice called down the hall from the other end. It was Nene's human friend, Aoi. The girl with the purple hair done in two little loopy thingies. Akaibara thought they were cute but she didn't know what they were called.
"Oh no one, I was just looking at this drawing over here. Check it out." Yashiro called over her friend who walked over and stood by the other girl. "Oh it's another one of those mystery doodles. And there's the pencil. Did you see who was drawing them?" Aoi asked curiously
Nene glanced at Akaibara before looking back to her friend shaking her head "Nope, looks like I just missed them actually. This one wasn't here yesterday." She made up on the spot. Akai could tell Nene looked just the least bit uncomfortable, she must not like lying.
Then the conversation was cut off by the school bell as the halls cleared.
"Oh! We're late! Come on Nene-chan!" Aoi said and grabbed Nene's hand as they made a mad dash for their next class. Akaibara watched them for a moment before grabbing her pencil off the floor that she totally didn't take from some student earlier and dashed after them. Her feet made no sound as she sprinted but she paid it no attention.
She skidded into class with them and then stood frozen as she recognized the teacher in what she realized was the science room. "Yashiro, Akane, you're late." The man she had heard was named Tsuchigomori, dang that name's long-, stated. Not too assertively as usual.
"We know Sensei, we're sorry. We just noticed another of those strange drawings on the walls again. They're just everywhere now you know?" Aoi spoke for the both of them.
