Burnham lake is one of the tourist spot here in Baguio. Maraming turista at mga ilang dumayo pa sa iba't-ibang parte ng pilipinas at ibang bansa just to be here. It was a man-made lake, maraming puno sa paligid ng lawa, may rose garden at mga kayak na pwedeng sakyan sa gitna nito.
Hawak ang aking kamay ay inalalayan ako ni Terrence para makaupo sa nirentahan naming kayak. I'm the one in front while he's on my back. Parehas kaming may hawak na malaking sagwan nang sinimulan naming tawirin ang gitna ng lawa. It was such an amazing experience. Hindi naman kasi kami mahilig bumisita sa ganitong lugar. My dad is always busy at si mom ay nasa bahay lang madalas para asikasuhin kaming magkakapatid. Narating namin ang isang rose garden sa dulo ng lawa. Nakasabit sa leeg ni Terrence ang isang Fujifilm camera at kinukuhan niya ako ng litrato habang nakatalikod.
We made a lot of memories that day at parang ayoko na iyong matapos. I just want to stay there if possible. Terrence made me feel like I'm the most precious human alive. Nagpicnic kami sa gitna ng rose garden.
"Kung may pupuntahan kang bansa, saan mo gusto pumunta, babe?" He asked while looking at my eyes.
"Siguro sa France. I want to see the Eiffel Tower so bad kasama yung taong gusto kong makasama habambuhay..." I confessed while looking at the sky.
"Gusto mo pumunta na tayo ngayon? Pagkatapos nitong project na 'to, mapapayag man natin o hindi si Mr. Zamora, I want to go there with you." he promised me.
"Sigurado ka na ba talaga sa 'kin? I mean, I know you're straight. You dated a lot of girls and mostly models yung gusto mo." I've done my research about him before, kaya may alam ako sa mga past relationships niya.
"If loving you will makes me gay, then I'm willing to be one for you." He's so proud when he said that.
We stayed in Baguio for 3 days at pauwi na kami papuntang Makati. He really changed for me. Hindi na siya ganun ka-moody and his face looks brighter than before. His right hand is holding mine while the other is holding the drive wheel of his car.
Tanghali na ng makarating kami sa Rossett's Holdings Corporation. Nagpatawag agad si Terrence ng meeting sa iba't-ibang department ng kompanya para magplano kung paano namin mapapapayag si Mr. Zamora na mag-invest.
The following weeks became much stressful nang dumating si Mrs. Madalane Rossett sa kompanya. This is my first time seeing her in person and her face looks matured. She empowers authority based on her aura. Nasa loob ako ng office ni Mr. Terrence Rossett ng pumasok siya. She hugged Terrence and raised her left brow at me.
"Hey, I want an iced coffee now." she ordered me.
"Mom, let me. I also want to speak with Chief Mildred about something. Kyle, just stay here." He's asking me not to follow her step-mom's request.
Naiwan ako sa office niya kasama si Mrs. Rossett. Tahimik ang buong paligid at nakayuko lang akong nakaupo sa lamesa ko. Nagawa ko na ang dapat kong gawin dahil malapit nang matapos ang shift ko. It's almost six in the evening when I took a glance at my wristwatch.
"So, how was your relationship with my step-son?" her authoritative voice broke the silence between us.
Nabigla ako sa sinabi niya dahil hindi naman nabanggit ni Terrence na alam ni Mrs. Rossett ang relasyon namin. He rarely share things about his family, pero alam kong over-protective si Mrs. Rossett sa kanilang magkapatid lalo na sa tunay na anak nitong si Carlos.
"U-Uhm... we're good, Mrs. Rossett." my words are stuttering.
"You can just call me, tita. I heard a lot of things about you. Lagi kang kinikwento sa 'kin ni Terrence." she's now smiling bitterly.
"T-Talaga po? Sana po magagandang bagay ang kinikwento niya sa inyo tungkol sa akin," curiousity hits me.
"Of course! My step-son is now badly in love with you. I couldn't believe na makikipag-relasyon siya sa isang-" hindi niya na natapos ang kanyang sasabihin nang pumasok si Terrence sa loob ng office.
"Mom, Kyle's shift is over. Iuuwi ko na po siya." nag-alalang sabi ni Terrence kay Mrs. Rossett.
Nagpaalam na kami at bumaba ng parking lot. I'm sitting beside him while he's riding his Ferrari Red car. Kunot ang kanyang noo at mabilis ang kanyang pagpapatakbo kaya mariin akong nakakapit sa seatbelt ko. Wala pang sampung minuto ay nakarating na kami sa tapat ng bahay ko. Hindi ko magawang bumaba, dahil alam kong may gusto siyang sabihin sa 'kin.
I was about to open his car when he held my hand. I looked at his face and saw his eyes trying to keep his tears from falling.
"Hey, babe. What's wrong?" I asked him. I'm starting to get worried because this is the first time I've seen him like this.
"Babe, did she say something to you?" He asked me while waiting for my answer.
"She said that... she's happy with our relationship." I assured him.
Niyakap niya ako nang mahigpit. Halos hindi ako makahinga sa higpit ng kanyang yakap. I'm tapping his back trying calm him down and I'm glad it worked. Naging mahinahon ang kanyang paghinga and he kissed my lips gently. I hugged his nape to deepen his kiss.
Nanlaki ang mga mata ko nang bigla niyang tinanggal ang seatbeat ko. He guided me to the passenger seat. He made me lie on the passenger seat before he started unbuttoning his black long sleeves. He threw his long sleeves somewhere and it revealed his perfect toned chest and abs. His kisses are now rougher than earlier. From my lips, he's now down to my neck. He's biting it and kissing my neck like an addict. His hands were now starting to unbutton my sky blue long sleeves when we heard a knock on his car from outside.
Dali-dali ko siyang tinulak palayo sa akin nung makita ko kung sino ang kumakatok sa labas ng kotse...
It was dad.
