Chaptee 11: Camp Ground

A/N - hmm I wonder how to make this go.

Kalani's POV

*We started to walk deeper into the forest as Alex just seemed to be fairly relaxed as I look around the area as Brim is leading the walk as the forest seems fairly normal on the sides and behind me and Alex Violet seems to be annoyed as can be with being stuck with Troy who seems uninterested of the entirety of the trip as I look ahead I see that we still haven't found a clearing yet as Brim looks at a map and tilts there head and looks around as I hear a face palm and footsteps closer to me and Alex as I look back I see Troy walking with Violet as they get closer Violet sighs as I listen in a bit more to the three*

Brim: "What is something wrong between you two?"

*Troy quickly types on his scroll as Violet speaks*

Violet: "you can't read a map can you?"

Brim: "Yes I c-"

Troy: 'The clearing on the map you circled was roughly one mile backwards and then another two miles to the left. Not only that, you choose the clearing without easy access to water so if you would like we could lead the group there.'

*my eyes twitched a little bit at the idea of a difficult walk to get water at night for anything like a bath or drinking*

That doesn't sound good and three miles away from where we are at the moment?

Violet: "Not only that you didn't even seem to have the spot we landed marked correctly, it was more over here."

Are we going to die?

*I see Troy grab the map from Brim who seems disheartened*

Troy: 'Very true Violet yet at the same time we need to get to here so I say we follow this route what do you say?'

Violet: "hmm maybe change this bit right here around and would get their before noon"

Troy: 'True but unfortunately Brim is clumsy and probably would trip into that area.'

Violet: "is that so? That is unfortunate then the route you made should be good enough."

*Both Troy and Violet seemed to have come to an agreement on the area to go too and how to get there so me and Alex get closer to find out how much longer to get there*

Kalani: "How long will it take to get to the camp?"

Violet: "Two hours"

Alex: "eh? Isn't that a pretty long walk?"

Violet: "Too bad."

Troy: 'Walk it or be thrown for it your pick.'

Alex: "Walk."

*Alex seems tense as Troy is just walking ahead as Violet follows with Brim now following them*

Brim: "There is no reason to bully your teammates."

Troy: 'I can make you find us alone Brim.'

Brim: "Stop making fun of me, maps are hard!"

Violet: "No, not really there not."

Brim: "Violet not you as well!"

Kalani: "umm you two can read maps?"

Troy & Violet: "it is necessary to be able to survive."

How are these two so in sync with each other?

Brim: "I thought you two didn't get along?"

Troy & Violet: "we don't but survival is more important than a relationship issue."

Alex: "Survival fanatics."

Violet: "I won't deny that but means will survive longer than most that way."

*Troy nods as he keeps walking forward*

Well this is the first I have seen these two get along even if it is in a way I didn't expect

*as we get to the camp I see Troy and Violet look around the clearing and then start to immediately clear out things as I see Troy Get closer to the center and use his weapon and write an F as Violet gets some rocks of similar sizes then Troy gets up as Violet passes him the rocks as she digs a small hole from the spot marked F as Troy surrounds it in a circle of rocks as soon as they finish the pit Troy goes and gets some sticks that seen brittle after grabbing some sort of dead bush and putting it in the center as Violet seems to be setting up a bit longer yet sturdier sticks around the center meeting in the center as they nod and quickly seem to get branches and start to set up an area for cover as they almost seem like construction works as they quickly set and bind the branches together and if it seems unsteady Troy uses his weapon and calmly removes the issue or issues from it as Violet then covers it in foliage adding to the natural look of it*

Brim: "... I think They will get along quite easily like this..."

Alex: "...How?..."

Kalani: "...I don't know..."

Violet: "What it's normal to know how to set yourself up a camp when and where ever necessary."

Troy: 'and adapting it to the environment for camouflage.'

Brim: "It is a camping trip not a trip behind enemy lines."

Violet: "are we able to get attacked by grimm?"

Brim: "Well yes b-"

Troy: 'Are we able to be attacked by other people?'

Brim: "Technically yes b-"

Violet: "Do we have a confirmed supply route of easy access to get necessities?"

Brim: "...no..."

Troy: 'Sounds like being behind enemy lines to me you Violet'

Violet: "Exactly the same."

*I look at brim who seems to be rubbing a stick against the ground distraught by the two survival fanatics*

Kalani: "Isn't that being a bit mean to our teacher? He's trying isn't he?"

Troy: 'Trying to be nice or mean only helps with morale right now we need a camp set up.'

Violet: "After that we can worry about morale. Also after securing food."

Troy: 'fish or game for today?'

Violet: "I say game and gathered food"

Troy: 'You three going to help or stand there like chopped liver?'

Alex: "Then what do you need help with?"

Violet: "Take the book of forest plants and gather edible ones and we will hunt for something here."

Troy: 'Brim go get water and start filtering and distilling it.'

Brim: "Okay is it close by?"

Violet: "Right behind the wooden hut. Just straight there and a straight one eighty back okay."

Brim; "Okay."

*I get the book and look at it*

Those two seem efficient for this. How often have they camped out?

A/N -i think that should work for now. No I haven't camped enough at the moment so I will research into it.
