Zoe heard the door buzz as she finished putting on her make up. She ran to the door and pressed the intercom button.

"Hello?" she said.

"Hey Zee, it's me."

Colton, she thought to herself and smiled. "You want to come up? I have to put my shoes on."

"Ok."

She buzzed him up. Two minutes later, he knocked on the door. She opened it and smiled as she got a good look at him. He wore a light gray T shirt, tight enough to show off his broad shoulders and toned chest with a pair of tight black jeans. Zoe swallowed hard. "Come on in. I'll be ready in a few minutes."

Colton smiled as she looked her over. She wore her hair in her usual ponytail, exposing her neck, a red halter top that was completely open in the back and came down about two inches shy of her deconstructed dark blue jeans, hugging her body in all the right places. "Wow. You look incredible," he said as he walked in.

She smiled. "Right back at you. I just have to put my shoes on. Sit down for a few. I'll be right out."

Colton stepped in and looked around. There was a kitchen off to his right, nicely done with a counter with four bar stools. To the left, was a TV in front of a spacious sofa with a small table in front of it. He watched as Zoe made her way to the end of a small hallway. He walked over and sat on one of the bar stools. She came out a minute later holding a pair of black sandals. She sat down on the couch and started putting them on. He smiled as he watched her tie her sandals around her ankles. "Don't you have shoes that don't require you to tie them?" he asked as he laughed.

She looked up at him and smiled. "You'd like to think." She finished the first and went to put on the second one. "So, what kind of music are we listening to tonight?"

"I'm surprised no one asked before they said yes. I think they're a mix of different types of music," he said as he watched her finish up her second shoe and stand up.

"Cool. Maybe there will be a chance for some dancing tonight too," she said as she grabbed her black wristlet off the table.

He laughed. "As much dancing as you do, one would think you'd get sick of it." He stood up.

She gave him a wink. "Never. Shall we?" He smiled as he made his way towards the door with her right behind him.

As they walked in, Zoe looked around. There was a large bar towards the center of the room, but just off to the side. Lots of four-seater tables along all of the walls and six larger tables towards the back. The room itself was dimly lit, except over the bar. Zoe saw Colton wave to someone as they walked in. "Come on, I see my brother." She followed him as they approached three men and a woman standing at one of the bigger tables. They turned and smiled as Colton and Zoe approached.

"Hey, look who made it!" One of the men said as he grabbed Colton into a hug. "I haven't even seen you since you've been back in town. How are you?"

Colton laughed as he the man released him. "I've been busy."

The woman grabbed Colton next and hugged him. "It's good to see you, Colt." She let him go and held on to his shoulders. "Dale told us about the show. Congratulations."

"Thanks Lily," Colton said as one of the other men grabbed him for a sideways hug.

"Yeah, baby bro is just that good," Dale said as Colton pushed him off with a smile. Zoe laughed and everyone turned and looked at her.

"Sorry. Zoe, this is Lily, Darren, Gary and my brother Dale. Guys, this is Zoe," Colton said as Zoe stepped up next to him to shake everyone's hand.

"Very nice to meet all of you," she said with a smile.
