Oh, Zoe, you look wonderful. I know why you allow him in there now. I may have overreacted when I saw him at first, but you're only using him to make you look better. As if it's possible, my queen. I think he got the message I sent him. I need to make amends with you now. I've let my jealousy corrupt my mind and heart. Oh, my goddess, I'll make it right between us. I'll show you the worship you deserve. It won't be long now, my love. The show will be a hit and we'll be together. They'll see how you should be loved. We'll show everyone. You'll be mine for everyone to see...
"All right you two," Jesse said as he and Grace entered the studio, "Ready for Stage 4?" They nodded as he continued. "Ok, this is the Resurfacing Stage. This is when you're remembering why you started a relationship in the first place. I need to see hesitation mixed with trust and understanding. You've decided it's better to be together than without one another and I need all of that in a span of about 6 minutes." He smiled at both of them. "You're going to see a few of the same steps in the first part of this to help convey the message, but I need you to change up the emotion in it. Grace and I will run it and you'll see what I mean." He looked at Grace. "Ready?" She smiled and nodded as Zoe and Colton stood by the mirrors.
Zoe watched as Jesse and Grace danced, smiling at the way they moved together, seeing some of the same steps Jesse referred to. She watched as the dance progressed and made a mental note of their movements, putting an emotion to each of them. Once they finished, Zoe clapped and smiled. "I see where you want us to go. I love the song by the way."
Grace smiled. "I'll take credit for that one, thank you. Ok, let's get to work."
"It's a good start guys, but I have to call it early today," Jesse said looking at his watch. "We can pick it up again tomorrow."
Zoe smiled. "Got a hot date?"
Jesse smiled. "That's for me to know, and Kristen to find out." They all laughed. "Are you complaining? You two are probably the first ones out today."
"Good point," Zoe said. "We can run it in the morning."
Colton smiled and gave her a nudge. "Kiss ass." They all laughed.
"See you tomorrow guys," Jesse said as he and Grace walked out.
Zoe grabbed her phone out of her bag and smiled. "Wow. It's only 3."
Colton smiled. "Almost an afternoon off." He slung his arm across her shoulder. "What ever shall we do with our day?"
Zoe smiled up at him. "I'm sure we'll think of something. First, I need a shower." They walked out of the studio and headed downstairs. "I almost feel the need to do something productive."
Colton laughed. "Why because we spent the day in bed yesterday?"
"Yes," she said as the reached the bottom.
"Well, we'll think of something," he said as he faced her. "Meet you back here in 20."
Zoe smiled and kissed him. "Ok." She turned and walked into the locker room. She walked in and headed for her locker. She pulled out her phone from her bag when she reached it. There was a noise from the vanity area. Before she could turn around, she was shoved from behind. She felt her head bounce off the locker as she heard someone run out. She turned her head to see who was there, but only saw a dark shape turn the corner as she felt her eyes close.
Colton looked at his phone as he waited for Zoe. Damn, it's been 30 minutes, he thought to himself. It never takes this long for her to change. He looked up as he heard someone coming down the stairs. He smiled as Lily and Parker came down. "Hey guys."
Parker cocked his head as he looked at Colton. "Rehearsal let out early for you and Zoe?"
"Yeah. Jesse had to be somewhere," Colton said.
