Quick note: (Y/N) is 15 years old in this chapter.
Third Person POV
After the intense battle with Lower Moon Four, Kyojuro Rengoku wasted no time rushing (Y/N) to the Butterfly Mansion. Her condition was dire—deep cuts, broken bones, and heavy blood loss. Shinobu and Kanae Kocho immediately tended to her injuries. The wounds were severe, but thanks to the quick care of the Kocho sisters, she stabilized.
Once her condition was under control, they let her rest. The battle had drained every last bit of her energy.
~Timeskip one week later~
It had been a full week since (Y/N) was brought in... and she still hadn't woken up.
Kanae gently adjusted her bandages as Shinobu checked her temperature.
"Her body's just recovering slowly," Kanae said softly. "She pushed herself far beyond her limits."
"She fought a member of the Twelve Kizuki," Shinobu replied, adjusting her butterfly clip. "That would've killed most seasoned slayers. She's lucky she's still alive."
~The next day~
(Y/N)'s POV
"Ugh... everything hurts..." I groaned.
My eyelids fluttered open to a soft morning light. I stared at the ceiling before glancing around.
Butterfly Mansion...?
I tried to sit up but flinched when a sharp pain shot through my ribs and abdomen. My arms trembled. My body felt like it had been run over by a boulder.
Looking down, I noticed thick bandages wrapped around my collarbone and torso—some of them still stained red.
Right... the sash cuts. The demon... Lower Moon Four.
With slow effort, I managed to sit upright in bed, waiting for someone to come check on me. Minutes passed before the door creaked open.
"Ah, you're awake." Shinobu's voice was calm but warm. "That's a relief. Wait here—I'll go get Nee-san so we can check your vitals."
She disappeared before I could respond. Soon, both sisters returned, their presence familiar and comforting. They worked in sync—removing old bandages, replacing them with fresh ones, and checking my injuries.
~Timeskip (Sorry im lazy) ~
Two full weeks had passed since I woke up.
Kanae had confirmed during a previous check-up that I had three broken ribs, a deep slash across my stomach, and a cracked collarbone. My injuries were healing slowly, but at least I could walk now—even if only short distances.
That afternoon, I sat on the engawa of the Butterfly Mansion, watching the clouds drift lazily across the sky. It was peaceful. Almost enough to forget what I had gone through.
Suddenly, the familiar sound of flapping wings broke the silence. My Kasugai crow landed right in front of me, head tilted.
"Caw! Urgent message! You are to report to the headquarters immediately! The Hashira are gathering, and your presence is required! Caw!"
What? The headquarters...? Why me?
I stood up slowly and made my way back to my room, only to realize—my uniform was missing.
I ran into Shinobu in the hallway.
"Shinobu-san, have you seen my uniform? I can't find it anywhere."
