"How about we make you watch as we kill him?"

Ignoring the pain in my scalp I fix my eyes on the gun Jungkook has on his waist. We make eye contact, he nods discreetly at me enhancing my bravery.

I will get one chance to distract them, so Jungkook reaches for his gun. But only one chance, I've to utilize it properly.

Taking god's name, I kick the guy next to me in his balls making him yelp out loud in anguish, also I successfully stole the entire crew's attention on me.

In the blink of an eye, Jungkook stands up taking his gun out and pointing it at me.

"Move one more step and I wouldn't care piercing her skull." He says taking a hold of me.

"You kill her, we kill you."

Jungkook tightens his hold around my throat "And you take another step, you get yourself killed, too. Did you forget who she is?" Jungkook speaks while we walk backwards together until we made it to his car.

He keeps the gun attached on my head as long as we didn't vanish from the reaches of those evil men.

"I'm sorry. I had no choice" He dares to apologise after saving my life for the.. I forgot the count.

"You saved me again."

"You saved us, actually. I'm so proud of you." That fills my insides with elation hearing him praise me.

My smile withers suddenly as I recall something that man blurted out.

"Jungkook, I think I heard my Dad's name."

His grip around the steering wheel tightens for a split seconds, he blinks excessively shaking his eyeballs.

"What was he talking about my Dad? He isn't involved, was he? I mean that's basically impossible.. right?"

He gulps, outright ignoring my question. I don't push him for now since he doesn't want to answer.

"They knew I've been around you for a while. They tried to take me out. They knew I'd be in here, because you're here."

"It could be a coincidence?"

"They can't just bumped into us everytime."

"The only person, except for my friends, knew I'm here is Namjoon, and I also saw the same tattoo on his back as those men in there." He gapes his mouth, gritting teeth in the next second.

"I knew it! I knew he's suspicious. I told you but you brushed it off." He dares to guilt trip me.

"How was I supposed to know?" I argue back.

"Yeah, right. It's all my fault again, right?" He continues our argument, for some reason.

Not sure if it's just me or his tone sounds somehow different when he starts bickering. He sounds a little childish, not helping me to hold my smile back.

"I never said that! Can we stop bickering? We literally act like a married couple right now." I look at him through the corner of my eyes after accidentally saying that.

"I'd never marry you, you're annoying. You'd drain my blood in two days." He gets on my nerves with his clapped yet funny comebacks.

"I will drain your blood right now if you don't shut the fuck up! My head hurts."

He shuts up and continues driving. He makes me believe we're on a good term now. I promise he's the last person on earth I'd ever attempt to hurt.

Anxiety, my old friend, joins me in my thoughts as I remember about tbe tattoo and my Dad's name being mentioned. I just hope my family isn't deceiving me, or else I'm this close to have trust issues for the rest of my life.
