•Third person pov

"I want you to shoot him anywhere you spot him."

"Got it, boss" The other man replies.

"He has caused a lot of problems for me, about time we get rid of him."

"Then why didn't we kill him before?"

"I had my reasons but these days, he's hell bent to ruin what I've planned for years. Better to put him down before he could go any further."

Jungkook

Wearing my black hoodie, cap, mask and sunglasses, I begin my daily work which is ensuring she doesn't run into any life threatening troubles. Following her around like her shadow; a most annoying thing to do. More than her I am creeped out by myself. Hopefully, this ends soon.

I follow her steps until her legs stop moving at a point. She stands extending her hands inhaling the fresh air.

This looks like some place in children's story books. The sight enclosed in lushy green grasses, the musical echo of birds chirping, the taste of pure air, everything makes the sight heavenly.

"Isn't this so lovely?" She says casually like my presence has been noticed be her for a while. I didn't get a chance to hide and hit my nose on the tree trunk during the attempt.

"Are you alright?" She fakes concern looking unbothered, rather making fun of me.

"I almost broke my nose but yeah I'm good."

"You're stalking me again."

She said again! Means she knew all along.

"I'm just keeping an eye on you." I proclaim shifting glances all around the meadow.

"That's absolutely normal, isn't it?"

"I don't know, you tell me."

I cringe out by my response. I am caught following her and out of any clue to save myself from the embarassment.

"Uh, what did you mean by "again"?

She scoffs turning her face to the side "A piece of advice, be discreet next time you stalk someone."

"I said I'm not stalking you!"

"Whatever you say." She mumbles leaning against on a tree branch. Having no idea what to do, I take a sit on the grass, admiring the beauty of the nature.

"You must be wondering why I walked all the way here." She drops herself, bringing her knees to he chest, next to me.

"Everyone has a go-to place to escape from reality. This is mine." Right. Everyone does, I once did too. Not some place but a person.

"It's kind of getting sus how you show up everywhere I go. Are you in love with me?"

Her question snaps them veins in my brain. I am supposed to deny, but nothing really comes out of my mouth, confusing me internally.

"I could call the cops on you but for some reason, I got used to all the stal- I mean you keeping "an eye on me"." She says air quoting the last few words.

"Getting me arrested would cost your life, for your information."

"How do you come up with a new bullshit everytime?" She attempts to get up but I yank her arm back down.

"Of course, you don't believe me."

"Why should I believe you? You haven't told me even your name yet."

"It's Jungkook."

"What?!" She snaps twisting her face into a scowl.

"What?"

"You're Jungkook?!" She whispers to herself  "It means it wasn't no nightmare..They actually abducted me.. and tortured me and it was because of you!" She raises her voice looking mad as ever.

"I'm deeply disgusted by what Hoseok and-"

My heart freezes noticing a red spot on Y/n's hand. Knowing, beyond a doubt, what it is my quick reflexes kick in.

"Move!" I make a quick movement plunging her out of the way. Thankfully, the bullet hit me instead, slightly under my elbow. Inspite of the excruciating pain I grab her hand to move behind a tree, using it as a shield.

"Jungkook.." She whimpers softly. I notice she scrapped knee. I may have pushed her too hard.

"Shush. Cover your ears. It's not going to be pleasant."

Another gunshot goes off in our direction, catching me off guard. I shoot aiming for a headshot. They move towards us with guns blazing catalyzing fear in us.

They're so many of them. There's no way I can fight them all.

"Are we going to die?" Her question brings back a memory dug back in my mind for a brief moment.

"Whatever happens, I won't leave you alone."

I pull the trigger, I pull it again. After the third attempt I realize my gun is empty.

I see a bunch of armed men surrounding us. For the first time in life I am petrified. Not for myself, but because I failed to keep my words to a certain person.

I crouch down to hide Y/n's face in my chest. "I'm sorry I couldn't save us."

I envelope her in my arms preparing for the impact of multiple gunshots going off per second, destroying me emotionally.
