Lloyd wanted to train with Malody but knew that she would hesitate to do so. Having meditation training between them would help them grow closer without Malody hesitation. "Hey, Malody could help me with meditation," Lloyd asked his sister. Malody looked at her brother because she didn't expect him to ask her to help him. "Why do you need help with it?" Malody asked confused. Lloyd knew that she had the most experience when it came to controlling her powers while the rest of the team gave them peace of mind and balance. "I never had the patience or the skill like you do for meditation," Lloyd said. That was something that the team knew Lloyd couldn't meditate to save his life when it came to doing it willingly. "I could help you the same way I helped Nya the other day," Malody said with a smile.  Lloyd knew that Malody showed Nya a new meditation technique to connect to her powers. "Are you going to show me the same technique that you showed Nya?" Lloyd asked.

Malody gave him a nod at him before going to her room to grab something for the lesson. Lloyd headed to the courtyard knowing that was where the lesson was going to take place. When Malody walked out with four bowls with symbols on them to represent each of the four main elements. "What's the bowls for?" Lloyd asked Malody. "They are for the lesson," Malody said with a smile. That was something that brought curiosity in Lloyd because he never had a lesson like the one Malody had. She placed the four bowls in the same way that she did when she taught Nya originally including putting the four main elements in the bowls. "With this lesson, you have to connect to the four main elements along with your own element as well," Malody said before sitting in the middle of the circle. Lloyd watched his sister who was connecting to her powers and who like Nya, spotted a pattern in how she connected to the main four.

It didn't take long for Lloyd to see how Malody learned how to live her life. Malody created a shadow glass dragon before giving it to Lloyd who smiled at his sister. Lloyd took his sister's place and did the same thing but his pattern was different from her's. "Why was my connection to the  main four elements different from yours?" Lloyd asked. Malody explained his connection to the main four elements being how he was trained. It didn't take long before Lloyd realized that he took after their father in terms of how he felt a stronger connection to lightning. After the lesson, the siblings went their own ways so Malody went to the cherry tree outside the monastery. She sat under the tree looking at the stars in the sky and it was something that she had always done for years even when she left her childhood home.  Malody started to sing and halfway through Lloyd joined in.

'I'll take this red ribbon

Stitch my heart together

It will heal given time

It beats a strange rhythm

But I'll still go on living

When I don't get it right

Don't beat myself about the things that didn't work out

Least I can say is that I tried

I'll take this red ribbon

Stitch my heart together and I know I'll be fine

Remember all of the pain, was it all too much?

Remember falling apart everytime we touch

Remember going insane but I'll never give up

A heart that's been broken is a heart that's been loved

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red

Red-red, red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red

I'll take this lead pencil

Make a different picture

And I'll draw in a smile

I'll take these sharp scissors

Cut a new heart out of paper

You know I'll make it mine

Don't beat myself about the things that didn't work out

Least I can say is that I tried

I'll take this red ribbon

Lie it on the pavement and I won't cross that line

Remember all of the pain, was it all too much?

Remember falling apart everytime we touch

Remember going insane but I'll never give up

A heart that's been broken is a heart that's been loved

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red, red-red ribbon

A heart that's been broken is a heart that's been loved

Ribbon red-red, red-red

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red

I've got stitches and scars

I've got yards of yarn

Got miles of string running under my skin

I've got so much to give

So I'll give it again and again and again

I'll take this red ribbon

Stitch my heart together and I know I'll be fine

Remember all of the pain, was it all too much?

Remember falling apart everytime we touch

Remember going insane but I'll never give up

A heart that's been broken is a heart that's been loved

Remember going insane but I'll never give up

A heart that's been broken is a heart that's been loved

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red

Red-red ribbon, ribbon red-red, red-red-red'

Cole heard Malody sing again knowing that it was something that she rarely does in front of people. "Once again I still can't stop hearing you sing," Cole said with a loving tone in his voice.  Malody looked at Cole blushing because it was the first time that she realized was falling for the black ninja. "Thanks and you're the first person in a while to hear me sing," Malody said. Cole sat next to her knowing that their feelings had to bloom naturally and it was something that it didn't take long for them to move closer to each other. "Would you like to go on a date with me tomorrow night?" Cole asked with nerves. "I would like that Cole," Malody said.
