Malody had created a routine to be the first one up each morning to get some training in before breakfast. "Thinking about something?" Cole asked when he saw Malody in the kitchen. Malody looked at him before turning her head away with a blush dusting her cheeks. Cole didn't notice that he was shirtless before looking down to see why Malody turned away in the first place. "Just thinking about what happened with Overlord and it's always been on my mind since it happened one way or another," Malody said before taking a bite out of her oatmeal. Cole looked at her with a sad look knowing that should've never happened to anyone but knew that destiny happens one way or another. "I was wondering if I could train with you today to see where you are at," Cole said knowing that sounded more like a question than a statement. "Just be prepared to get your ass kicked," said Malody knowing that she had more years of experience than Cole. Once they walked outside, they got their respective weapons and got to their starting points. "Going to go easy on me?" Cole asked.

"Don't even think about it got it," Malody said. Cole made the first move but was blocked. Malody smiled at him knowing that she shocked him by blocking. "You have some moves on you," Cole said during the fight. Malody gave him a nod knowing that she was pushing him into a corner. "I've been training for years though you have some moves yourself," Malody said back to him. Cole knew that he had to get creative to take Malody down due to her years of experience. He swept his scythe underneath Malody's feet before moving it back toward him causing her to fall backward. "That was a smart move that you did there," Malody said with a smile because Cole had gotten creative. Cole knew that was praise because he saw that Malody was a strong fighter from years of experience. "Thanks and one thing that I learned from being a ninja is to pivot during fights,"  Cole said remembering all of Wu's lessons. There was a spark between both of them that they both felt though it was something that they didn't know how to work with. 

 Malody saw the shadows near her move and the temp drop to near freezing so she knew that she was having an episode. She kept to a corner to keep her head against a wall in case anything happened. Jay walked outside to take a breather before spotting Malody with her head to knees like she was having trouble breathing. "Are you okay Malody?" Jay asked before feeling the drop in temperature. At that moment, Jay noticed the ice and frost creeping up on Malody's fingertips that nearly reached both palms. "It's nothing, Jay nothing for you to be concerned about," Malody said trying to push her foster brother away. "It's not nothing Malody I can see the frost on your fingertips," Jay said before noticing silver-purple-laced shadows swirling around Malody's hands. It was at that moment that he saw her eyes and they had changed to a bronze color instead of their coral blue. One thing that Jay knew was that when elemental master eyes change color or become brighter in certain situations, his seeing Malody's eyes change color and get brighter is shocking.

"Breath or do you want me to get your dad?" Jay asked Malody. She shook her head trying to restrain Kage but it was something that had happened before. "I'm good and this has happened before," Malody said taking a breather. Jay wasn't sure that Malody was telling the truth but it was something that he had to back off to give her space. Both of them felt the temp rising, but Malody could still feel Kage at the back of her mind and still feel the frost at the tips of her fingertips. Malody could feel her powers reacting to her panic but took another breath and felt the cold feeling of the shadows that she knew well. "What happened when the Overlord came back?" Jay asked hoping that it wasn't a taboo subject. "The Overlord branded me on the Dark Island like cattle and when he came back I was the first one that fell under his power. I was trying to fight back every single time more so when he was trying to get Lloyd," Malody said remembering the whole thing. One thing that she remembers well is the pain from when the Overlord and Pythor injected golden power into her chi paths. It was that same pain that she still feels when she tries to tap into using the power or when she has one of her episodes.
