New Allies and Foes

First day of training

Malody woke up early the next day to get a head start on training on the rest of the team. It was something of a habit for her from the years of training though it was something that Theon had admired about her. "How are you even up this early to even train at all," said a voice from behind Malody. "Habit really after so long it just weird when you stop even for a few days,' Malody said to Cole when she realized that it was him that spoke. Cole just looked at her knowing that this was something that Malody had known for her entire life. "That's fair but don't you want to do something else outside this at all?" Cole asked as he went to the weapons rack on the nearby wall. "A bit but I know that sometimes you have to find a balance between both things," Malody said as she followed him to grab her weapon off the rack. Cole noticed that ninja in silver grabbed a rope dart while he grabbed his sythe though he knew that the rope dirt was a hard weapon to master. 

"After so long of doing this we never thought we could do something else," Cole said. Malody thought about that which was that after a certain point you could never come back from that point. "Good point but it works for you guys to begin with which is the opposite for me to begin with," Malody said before sending the blade in Cole's direction. Cole was shocked when he saw the blade coming in his direction and blocked it with his sythe. "That was good but could you take me down?" Cole asked Malody with a slight smile. Malody got butterflies in her stomach from Cole's smile but pushed it down to fouces on the spar match. The pair looked at each once Malody had gotten the blade back in her hand and was spinning it around. Cole is starting to realize that Malody is skilled with the rope dart which was something. "Are you scared?" Malody asked the master of earth in front of her. "No but am shocked that you're very skilled in that weapon," Cole said pointed out that Malody knew how to use a very unique weapon. 

"It's a weapon that I was good at from when I was 7 years old plus I was more inclined to more ranged weapons," Malody said before sending the blade to hook it around the top of the sythe. When Cole saw this that and noticed that it was a smart move. Cole and Malody didn't notice that the rest of the team came out to watch the spar to see that Malody was pulling smart movies with her weapon. "Malody is skilled with the rope dart and how long since she trained with the weapon," Lloyd asked when he saw his sister sparring with Cole. "Since she was 7 and she never stopped training with it," Theon said smiling at his best friend. "Am surprised that Malody kept up training with weapon after all this time despite everything," Garmadon said pointing out that his daughter still this up after so long. Lloyd watched his sister twisting the rope to keep Cole at a distance in a defensive manner and to land a blow as well. "Ok you win Mal and am impressed with how you took the fight in your advantage," Cole said when the fight was over.

"Even I am impressed with your technique with the rope dart Malody and we all know that it's a tricky weapon to master as it is," Wu said as he walked out from the hallway to see that two ninja have already started training compared to the rest of the team. Malody took that praise from her uncle because it was something that Wu doesn't give out often and the rest of the team knows that as well. "Thank you sensei and I know that there might be some flaws that I still need to work on to improve my technique with the weapon," Malody said as she turned to Wu and bowed in respect to acknowledge the praise that she had received. The team minus Theon saw how respectful Malody is with her elders but chucked it down to how she is raised. "From what I saw there was little to no flaws in your technique from when I started watching to the end Malody," Garmadon said which shocked Malody because she knew that her father could point out little things like if he wanted to.   

"Cole and Malody are excused from the first part of today's training because for one reason or another they took the incatative to start training early today," Wu said and he knew that Malody started training early out of habit than anything really. The rest of the team understood that Malody and Cole wouldn't continue training after finishing a sparing match that they just had regardless if they wanted to continue with the rest of the team. Malody toke advantage on meditating off to the side to recenter herself from the spar and to watch everyone else as well. "You haven't changed from the last time that I saw you train Tsuki," Garmadon said to his daughter who was still meditating off to the side on the pouch. Malody smiled at the name because it was her name that he gave her because of how she loved looking at the moon when she was younger. "I never stopped training though Mistake gave me a week after the whole situation with the Overlord because being a ninja and an elemental master is part of who I am," Malody said as she watched the team training which Theon was dragged into by Lloyd. "I can see that and so can Wu though I could see that you started to have feelings for a certain black ninja," Garmadon said looking at his daughter with a smile.

Malody blushed at that comment because she always kept her heart to herself since the Overlord to protect herself. "Shouldn't you be making that same comment to Lloyd as well because he's been giving the same look to Theon that I gave Cole that you some how spotted," Malody said looking over at her brother and best friend sending each other looks when the other wasn't looking. Garmadon didn't even notice the looks but he and the rest of the team knew that Lloyd was gay for a while though no one had cought his eye till know by the looks of it. "You're always the one to notice the little things like their looks right now which made you good ninja," Garmadon pointed out his daughter who just kept watch the training matches. "Mistake always said that when she was still around," Malody said with a distant smile on her face. Cole came back outside with two water bottles for himself and Malody which he handed it to her when he spotted her on the pouch watching. "The guys dragged Theon into training this morning by the looks of it," Cole mentioned when he saw that Theon was sparring with Jay on the other side of the yard. 

"Yup but he was dragged out there by Lloyd by the looks of it from what I could tell though he wasn't sure about it at first," Malody said before thanking him for the water. Garmadon saw the interaction between his daughter and Cole which was sweet and knew that they were meant to be. Then he realized that they were soulmates which shocked him because soulmates were rare especially among the elemental masters. "When Lloyd told us that he liked guys a while back and we never thought he would found someone to love," Garmadon said with a smile seeing Lloyd and Theon training. Malody slightly shook her head with a smile on her face knowing that Theon and Lloyd would be great partners which could lead to a romantic relationship later on. "Don't you dare try to force them into a relationship that they are not ready for at the moment," Malody said knowing that her father would try something. 

Garmadon told her that he wouldn't because he knows better than to mess with the love lives of his children. "You ever dated anyone over the years?" Cole asked the ninja in silver. "No never I always kept my heart protected especially after what happened with the Overlord," Malody said knowing that she would rather be alone and knowing that her family safe then love and have them hurt. " Sometimes we have to risk our hearts to find love but we never know till we do it," Garmadon said trying to give Malody some advice. Malody knew that her father was trying to give her good advice but knew that her heart had been hurt before and it needs time to heal. "You should really try to find someone to trust other than Theon and it doesn't have to be family," Cole said making a good point to Malody. "Sometime we have to learn to live with pain," Malody said before joining the sparing matches with the rest of the team.
