It's now nighttime and I still can't help but wonder about it. Riko Sakurauchi, the only girl I've ever loved, is with me once again... but this time, she's here to stay.

It feels as if everything was so fast... Riko leaving felt like it was just last week or so when in reality it already has been a couple of months. My sense of time is too messy when I need it to be prim and proper but the blame is not on me... It shouldn't be on me. It was love that made me like this. Love truly has ways, direct or indirect, fast or abysmally slow, smooth-sailing or filled with hurdles... It will always lead you to the finish line.

"I have a date with Riko tomorrow! I need to be on the top of my game now that she and I are back at it again. She's improved a lot and I must prove my improvement too. Oh how fleeting that I discover something new everyday. I discovered pain, I discovered new places, I discovered new people, and I discovered- No, I rediscovered love!" I said to myself as I plopped myself and readied for sleep.

"Ah, I should text Kaichou that I've succeeded..."" I said as I grabbed my phone and texted her.

"Kaichou, we've done it. I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you for being the best wingman ever." My text read, I waited for a few minutes but got no response.

"She's probably asleep by now then. I guess I should hit the hay as well." I said to myself as I went on my way and dozed myself to sleep.

~the next day~

Today's the day that me and Riko would have a date...

"Y/n! Are you already prepared?" Chika said as she knocked on my door. Chika is very enthusiastic for us and I do appreciate it.

"Yes!" I said as I opened the door. "Thank you for having me here, Chika. If we hadn't met at the shoreline, me and Riko might've still not met." I said, expressing my gratitude.

"It was nothing, Y/n. Love is love, y'know?" Chika said as she sheepishly scratched the nape of her neck.

"Don't worry, I'll support you as well when the time comes when you have a boyfriend." I said as Chika blushed.

"Thanks, Y/n. But I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. The school and the idol group goes first." Chika said as she clenched her fist, filled with determination.

"Well, we have our own goals. I'm glad you have that as yours. I'll be going now then. Goodbye!" I said to Chika as I waved her goodbye and made my way to the inn's entrance.

"You're late, Y/n." Riko said as she softly chuckled. She was wearing casual clothes and if I'm being asked, illuminated her beauty even more.

"Hm? You're the one who's early though. Are you that excited? Speaking of which; lead the way, Riko. I don't know much of the town so I'll have you lead me to it." I said and winked at her.

"I promised that we'll go to the aquarium. Let's?" Riko said as I nodded in agreement. We went to the bus stop and as the bus arrived, me and Riko went in and our adventure to the aquarium had started.

After a few minutes, Riko and I arrived at the aquarium. We went inside as I was met with the wonderful aquatic creatures in all directions.

"Y/n, didn't you say back then that the jellyfish were your favorite?" Riko said as I nodded in glee.

"Yes! I- I'm glad you remembered... Jellyfishes are wonderful... Ah- I shouldn't get ahead of myself. This is a date and not a time for me to geek out about it." I said as Riko started to laugh.

"Y'know, you're pretty cute when you geek about it." Riko said as I blushed.

"A- Anyways, can you show me more of the aquarium? We only have limited time and I want to make the most of it" I asked as Riko nodded.

The two of us wandered around the aquarium, getting to meet all kinds of aquatic species there. It was for me a wonderful sight as it was as if I was a vagabond discovering place by place. But is it as if I can't have a perfect day, there would always be a problem... And yet again my one and only enemy is... time.

"Riko, I have something to tell you." I said, stopping Riko on her tracks.

"Hm? What is it?" She asked.

"I'm going back to Tokyo tomorrow. It seems so fast, huh? But I really do need to go back now. I can't miss more of my classes even if our student council president says it's fine. I do hope you understand." I said to her as she grew silent.

There were a few moments of silence, I feel like she's still figuring out what to say.

"I- I'm glad you said with notice. Because I didn't when I left you." Riko said as tears suddenly burst out from her eyes.

"Why are you crying, Riko?" I said as I pulled her over for a hug. I brushed her hair whilst keeping the hug tight with me having no intention of letting go. "I don't have hard feelings for it, Riko. If I had, I wouldn't have gone here in the first place. I love you." I said to her as I kissed her on the lips.

"Th- Thank you, Y/n. Let's make the most of it today!" Riko said as she regained her smile.

~the next day~

"We'll have contact through the phone. I'll miss you, Riko." I said as the two of us arrived at the train station. Time flies so fast that it was like only a minute ago when I arrived here. Even though my trip here was short, I got something that would last a lifetime.

"I'll miss you too... Goodbye, Y/n." Riko said.

"Goodbye! Don't be sad! Also tell Chika and the others a very big thank you. I owe them guys a lot!" I said as Riko nodded. I went to the train and saw Riko looking back and left. This adventure truly had a lot of discoveries.
