"So it was Sakurauchi-san, huh? The girl you were talking about a few days ago." Kaichou said, surprising me.
"You were watching? You were pretty late to the news, kaichou. Me and Riko used to be a couple if it wasn't obvious by now." I said to her, making kaichou grin.
"Then why did you waste that opportunity, Y/n? You wanted closure, right? I may not know the exact events but I think I can connect the dots. Sakurauchi-san left Otonokizaka on such a sudden notice... By that time, you two were already dating for quite some time but she left without a say, to the point she wouldn't even answer your calls and text, probably. Am I right?" Why is she so on point? But then again, kaichou is one to be good at analyzing.
"Yes... Is it actually a waste? Maybe talking to her would just compromise her new life in Numazu. She looks happy now being a school idol. Takami-san, Watanabe-san, Matsuura-san... All 8 of them gave Riko a life filled with new opportunities. I thank them all for keeping the one I love happy. That's all that matters to me... To see her happy. I value her happiness more than mine and that'll never change until the end of time." I said to kaichou.
"That's a lot of talk from someone who didn't even talk that much with Sakurauchi-san awhile back. Anyways, I'm taking it that you'll watch them perform. Y/n, think about what you're supposed to do. Anyways, I need to attend to something... Handle the student council works today, will you? I'm counting on you, future president." Kaichou said as she left. She is right, I did a lot of talking there. Anyways, she also knew that I'll watch Riko perform. Why does it seem that she reads me very well?

I know I've said this before but time really just flies so fast when you need time the most. Just like that, I'm now watching Aqours perform live... And from what I'm seeing, they've come a long way. The lights were blinding me; it was as if they were too high for someone like me to get on level on. Every note and every step it felt like it was singing directly to me but why is it hard for my eyes to not fixate?
My two eyes were on her and her only. My eyes were only focused on Riko. It feels like she was commanding me to only have my eyes on her and I won't complain even a bit. This is basically me watching her piano recitals but this time, she's dancing.
Why does everything end so fast? And with that, they finished performing. They now are backstage as the other contestants performed. My feet started moving on their own as my body bumped everyone who blocked my way... Why am I doing this?
"Excuse me sir, you're causing a commotion. We have to escort you out." Security said as they cornered me. They grabbed my arms and lifted me up.
"Let go! I have to meet them!" I said, losing my cool even though it was my fault in the first place. They ignored me and took me out of the venue.
"Goddammit... I need to meet them! Hmm... I've been here a few times already and know the ins and outs of this place." I found myself in front of the small door that leads backstage. I opened the door and to my luck, there was no security.
I walked past the other people, hoping that they won't have any suspicions on who I am. I walked confidently to hide my nervousness as it may blow my seemingly flashy cover of just walking. Finally, I found them
"There you guys are. I'm here to say I like your performance." I said to Aqours who was shocked to see me.
"L/n-san! You came to watch us!" Takami-san said as the nine of them thanked me.
"Of course... You guys were nice to me and this is just to pay back." I said.
"How did you get here though?" Matsuura-san asked.
"Security doesn't allow non-participants here." Dia-san said.
"Let's just say I know my way around here." I said as I sheepishly scratched the nape of my neck.
"It was nice meeting you guys again but that was actually the point of me going here. I have to go now." I said as I turned around.
"Wait!" Someone said as the person tugged my arm. This voice is too familiar for me to not recognize. I turned around and saw Riko right in front of me.
"Sakurauchi-san?" I said as a blush came to my face.
"I still love you, Y/n!" Riko shouted, making the eight girls behind her shocked. It left me... It left all of me in crumbles. Why did she have to say this now?
"Wh- What are you saying, Sakurauchi-san?" I asked, still not knowing what response is needed.
"I- I'm sorry I left you..." She said, which flipped a switch on my system.
"I- I can't talk right now!" I said as I ran off, with her losing grip on my arm. I ran as fast as I could not even turning back.
.
.
.
"So you're telling me you just ran off like that?" Kaichou asked.
"Yeah.. I didn't know what to do or say... I wasted another opportunity yet again." I said to kaichou.
"By the way, I was supposed to go to Numazu for a conference of student council presidents or something like that. But I can't go since I'm busy. Want to fill in for me?" Kaichou asked, did she say Numazu? If so, count me in.
"I'm down for it but I'd miss some classes. Is that ok?" I asked.
"I'll talk to the chairwoman about that. Do pack up immediately as you're going there tomorrow." What?!
"You should've told me sooner, kaichou." I said to her, making her chuckle.
"Is that so? You better not mess up your opportunity this time." Kaichou said.
"Riko is not the priority, I'm going there for the school's sake for this conference you say. Anyways, I need to go home and pack now. Good bye, kaichou."
"Good bye!"
