It's been a while now since me and Riko got back together. We would always call each other on the phone and sometimes would stay up late and not sleep at all talking to each other. I admit that this kind of relationship has its struggles but it won't feel like it if there's love in it. Ah, who am I kidding? I'm getting cornier because of love.

*RING*

"Huh? A call? From Riko?" I said as I picked up the call. "Hello, Riko? Is there anything wrong?" I continued as I was met from silence from the other side.

"Riko? Hey, are you there? Is everything ok?" I asked as a faint voice answered. "Y/n, Uranohoshi... It's getting closed." Riko said as I was left in shock.

Aqours was given a task to attract potential students in a set time. They needed a hundred and even I was confident that they'd make it but it looks like they failed to. I don't know what to say... I'm pretty sure this is a pretty hard time for them but life goes on.

"Ah... I- I'm sorry to hear that. Is there by any chance you're with the rest of the group? I'd like to talk to them as well." I asked Riko. "Ah- Wait, I'll put it on loudspeaker." Riko said as I waited for her to set up.

"Hello? Am I being heard by everybody?" I asked as I received a reassuring "Yes" from everyone on the other side of the line.

"You guys don't need to be so hard on yourselves. You did your best and that's enough to prove the love you have for Uranohoshi. Take it from me guys... Someone who had time as his worst enemy. Don't lose hope yet even the battle is over for the war has not yet had a victor. I supported you guys at the Love Live! Qualifiers and wanted you guys to go to the finals. There's still the finals guys! I know some of you may take the fact that Uranohoshi is closing down hard especially Chika but you guys need to win this, make it so that Uranohoshi would have one more mark on its history book. With the optimism of the first-years, the hope of the second-years, and the guidance of the third-years... I know you guys can win that. Ever since I saw you guys perform, I know that you guys will be at the top soon enough. Oh my, I have said quite a lot, no? Anyways, I may not know what you guys are actually feeling right now but I hope my words have reached your hearts." I said to them as genuine as I could be. I know it's hard for them but that's all I have to say.

"Thank you, Y/n. At least we know you're always there to support us." Dia-san said from the other side.

"Ah, of course! I'm Riko Sakurauchi's number 1 fan after all!" I said as I chuckled.

"D- Don't say things like that, Y/n!" Riko said nervously, she must be blushing right now.

"Alright but I may disturb you guys now, I've said what I needed to say. Goodbye guys! Goodbye Riko, I love you!" I said as I chuckled.

"Y/n! I'm still on loudspeak-"

"Whatever, bye bye!" I said as I ended the call, she must be a blushing mess by now but what do I know? I'm a couple of miles away.

~some days later~

And wouldn't you know it, they won. Of course I watched them perform! They were the best! Right now, I'm with Aqours in a fast food place where they celebrated the victory with me. Everyone was having fun but my eyes, as always, were only fixated on just one.

"I- Is there anything wrong, Y/n?" Riko said, breaking my train of thought.

"No, just wanting to admire your beauty... That's all." I said to her, making Riko blush.

"Hey, they might hear you flirting with me." Riko said, signalling me to keep my voice down.

"Fine... but after we eat, could we stay behind and talk for a bit? Maybe at the nearby park?" I asked.

"Sure, I'd love to." Riko said as we continued eating.

The celebration ended as the others left while me and Riko took a different route to the park nearby.

"Y'know, after hearing that Aqours would continue idol activities without Dia-san, Mari-san, and Kanan-san... I was forced to realize something. We're gonna be third years soon enough, Riko. And when college comes, can we be together by that time? Can we study at the same place? I- I need to know." I said to her, somewhat venting feelings I've had my mind to be bothered about.

"Of course we can, Y/n. Don't worry about it too much, student council president!" Huh? I am the student council president of Otonokizaka now that Kaichou is graduating.

"Hm? That is true... Why does Otonokizaka have me as a president? I'm just a lovestruck boy. But then again, I'm glad I can call myself a successor of Ayase-san and Kousaka-san." I said as I sighed in defeat.

"I'm sure you'll be great, kaichou. And if you have hard times, I may not be able to help you that much with student council work, I'm always one call away when you need someone to listen." Riko said, making me blush.

"Thanks... I could say the same as well. I may not be of help with your idol activities but I'm always one call away when you need someone to talk to. It has always been that way, Riko. When we're a couple back then, I may not be of help with your piano playing but I was always the one who watched you perform. Even at the time we broke up, if you had just called I was gonna listen." I said to her as I kissed her on the lips.

"I love you, Y/n." Riko said after we broke the kiss.

"I love you too. Now, the girls might be waiting for you to go back. It's getting pretty late. I'll be with you guys at the train station tomorrow." I said as me and Riko parted ways.
