One day Stephen’s parents took him to a dinner with the emperor and the rest of the leaders of each Coven.
They made Stephen wipe off his makeup and made him dress in uncomfortable clothing. His clothes that he wore to the dinner didn’t allow much movement and they were extremely hot.
During the dinner Stephen was told to sit next to someone named the Golden Guard at the table that was specifically made for witches under the age of eighteen.
Stephen felt awkward because his parents kept glaring at him watching his every move.
When Stephen went to get up he accidentally tripped over someone’s foot.
“Hey;Watch it brat!”Exclaimed the person who Stephen tripped over
“You shouldn’t have your foot in the middle of the walkway.”Stephen scolded
“Excuse me?!”He growled, standing out of his chair.
The coven leader bent down to where he was face to face with Stephen.
“If you talk to me like that again I’ll make sure you can never speak again!”
Stephen gulped and glanced at his parents.
They weren’t even doing anything, they were just glaring at Stephen.
“Darius,back off!”The emperor bellowed
“He is a guest and will hopefully be punished later by his perfectly responsible parents ,Isn’t that right Mr and Miss Riverstone?”
“Yes sir;We greatly apologize for our son’s behavior tonight.”
“Good…”Emperor Bellos asserted
Later that night when Stephen got home he was told to wait in the living room. After an hour of Stephen hearing his parents whispering, they finally entered the living room.
“HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO A COVEN LEADER IN SUCH A WAY DO YOU KNOW WHAT COULD’VE HAPPENED TO ME AND YOUR MOTHER?!?”Stephen’s father yelled
“It wasn’t my fault he’s the one who tripped me.”Stephen replied in a monotone voice
“THAT’S IT YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME IN THIS HOUSE;DO YOU UNDERSTAND?”His father yelled
Stephen was left speechless at his father’s words.
“But I’m your son?”Stephen reasoned
“Not anymore you aren’t!”He growled
“GET OUT NOW!”He roared
Stephen quickly ran out of the house. As he ran out he heard his father throw something hard at him.
